I finally decided to make an account after coming to this site almost everyday, for the past several weeks, to research nursing topics. It has helped me greatly and Thank you all for you contributions!
I recently graduated from an ADN program and I am soooo happy and grateful that I was actually able to complete it because it was the MOST challenging experience I have EVER gone through in my entire life. I have to admit, it has been extremely hard to get back to the studying for the NCLEX. It's like my brain rejects the information every time I try to pick up a book and do questions... my brain says: "oh, no not you again." hahaha.... ugh! Never the less, I know I have to prepare for this beast which brings me to this post. I was thinking... Why not challenge some of you who plan on taking the NCLEX late? March/early April 2011? What do you guys think? Maybe we can message each other here by the end of the day and share whether or not you met your daily goal. For example, I have 2 books (lacharity and Davis Q&A) and I plan on doing 100-150 questions a day until my test date. Even if I do 20-25 in increments throughout the day, the point is to do them daily. Then I will come here and share how my day went. That way we can motivate each other through this excruciating journey.
Whaddayasay huh?!?.... I plan on starting this Sunday... Let me know if any of you guys are interested, I would love to motivate and be motivated by you guys... We need to get together and tame this beast! Lets do this!!!!

Ok Guys.. I am scheduled to take NCLEX-RN on Monday (23rd). I have used Exam Cram and have taken the HESI review course (3days). I am so nervous about this exam. I feel like I know the basic info, but still have this sense of.."OMG..I don't know enough". Please keep me in your prayers. This has been a long, yet rewarding journey (this far). Will try to keep you all posted (if my nerves allow .uhoh21

Maya 22...good luck to you... how did you study for the exam? I know they say relax prior to taking the NCLEX, but all I can do is study. The funny thing is; all I keep hearing on the TV and radio is how today is "THE END OF THE WORLD"....and all I can say is Can I at least get my RN license first???

i used kaplan on demand..watched some of their lecture videos, which was really boring..focused on their qbanks everyday and the question trainer..i also used la charity book for prioritization and delegation questions..occasionally i use exam cram and lippincot cds, and nclex 3500..i tried to expose myself with all types of questions..hopefully it will pay off on monday..right now, im just terrified..i woke up today, thinking i have to study more..so i ended up doing a few more questions..lol, tonight im thinking of going over lab values and the meds categories..i pray that i dont have to go through another review after monday..when will you be taking yours?

nevermind..we are taking it the same day..which state are you in?i cant change my schedule anymore cause my att expires on monday.. lol

im in new york..hehhee..im doing exam cram cd as we speak..lol and tonight also, ill try not to do anything on sunday but knowing myself, i dont think ill be able to just relax all day..i feel like if i dont do anything ill forget everything..good luck to us..mine is at 8am also..
