NCLEX-RN Exam on April 2011, need motivation?

Published

Hello Nursing World,

I finally decided to make an account after coming to this site almost everyday, for the past several weeks, to research nursing topics. It has helped me greatly and Thank you all for you contributions!

I recently graduated from an ADN program and I am soooo happy and grateful that I was actually able to complete it because it was the MOST challenging experience I have EVER gone through in my entire life. I have to admit, it has been extremely hard to get back to the studying for the NCLEX. It's like my brain rejects the information every time I try to pick up a book and do questions... my brain says: "oh, no not you again." hahaha.... ugh! :uhoh3: Never the less, I know I have to prepare for this beast which brings me to this post. I was thinking... Why not challenge some of you who plan on taking the NCLEX late? March/early April 2011? :yeah: What do you guys think? Maybe we can message each other here by the end of the day and share whether or not you met your daily goal. For example, I have 2 books (lacharity and Davis Q&A) and I plan on doing 100-150 questions a day until my test date. Even if I do 20-25 in increments throughout the day, the point is to do them daily. Then I will come here and share how my day went. That way we can motivate each other through this excruciating journey.

Whaddayasay huh?!?.... I plan on starting this Sunday... Let me know if any of you guys are interested, I would love to motivate and be motivated by you guys... We need to get together and tame this beast! Lets do this!!!!:lol2:

CONGRATULATIONS NC-RN2B, U have made it......Am happy for u..:dncgbby:

could someone PLEASE forward me the practice questions ([email protected])

For those that said that if you get 75 questions & computers shuts off thats a good sign is totally not true. I've taken the Nclex RN twice & both got 75 questions & I got the last question on both of them correct and I didn't pass. I am having a hard time prioritizing it seems. When I get to 2 questions it seems that I am not picking the best one of the 2. Can someone please give me some pointers. I have done Kaplan and was doing good on them. Is the LaCharity book a good thing to buy. CAN SOMEONE PLZ GIVE ME SOME POINTER ON HOW TO TACKLE THIS NCLEX RN:crying2::crying2:

I uploaded La Charity's practice questions that i got online. So if you guys need it, let me know.

Hi! im just self-reviewing now and im using saunders. can you send me a copy of la charity practice questions? do you need my email? Thanks!

Im doing my test tomorrow. I am anxious and scared. I have faith on myself and its on God's hands now.

Say a prayer before you enter the testing room, say it during, and say one after. You will do great! Give Glory to GOD!

I'm planning to take the nclex exam next month, but i'm wondering if I have enough knowlegde to pass the exam, I'm using Saunders comprehensive and Q&A, and started answering NCLEX RN 3500.... do you have any suggestion which book i could use? or should i join a review center?

Do you have the Prioritization, Delagation, and Assignment for the NCLEX by Linda LaCharity? Having that book, NCLEX 3500 and Saunders will be good for now. Don't overwhelm yourself with too many resources. I did that and did not pass the first time and plus I overexahusted myself by studying 6 hours a day.

Just do what you can each day. But do some studying each day. In then end, I gave up reading all the books the last three weeks and did questions from NCLEX 3500 and Saunders. Did a total of 7689 questions over 5 months. My classmate did 12000+ in two months and she passed. So it all depends on you being self motivated.
