Do yourself a favor and take today off from studying. Give your brain a break and let it process and sort out all the information you have been taking in. Go to bed early, get a good nights sleep and eat a good breakfast the morning of the test. Plan to arrive at the test center 30-45 minutes early. Right before you go in, look at any specific values or info you have had trouble remembering (maybe a lab value or a drug side effect, etc.) But don't look up more than one or two things.
Right before you start the test, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and relax. You will get a white board during the test. Use it to organize your thoughts, write down important values and check your calculations. Read each question carefully and make sure you understand what its asking. If you are unsure about an answer, narrow it down using process of elimination and then go from there. Remember that if the test seems hard, that's probably a good sign. NCLEX gives you progressively hard questions as you answer them right.
You have been studying. You know your stuff. You're going to be fine. Good luck!

This is so helpful right now as I am taking the exam today. Your words are so comforting and and practical. You mentioned that they provide a white board... I had heard this before, then I heard it was a rumor. What's the deal?
Thanks!

They provide you with a white board and a marker. You are not allowed to write on it until the test begins and you are not supposed to erase from it either. However, if you fill up the first board, you simply need to raise you hand and the test proctor will bring you another one. They will explain all of this to you before the test. Good luck to you!
Thanks so much. This is the best news of the day.

Just relax and enjoy today off! Just don't go into a hyperglycemic celebration yet  Good luck!
Ah, actually, alcohol causes hypogylcemia. The liver both metabolizes alcohol and releases glycogen. When a lot of alcohol is consumed, the liver is so busy with metabolizing it that it does not release adequate glycogen and hypoglycemia develops. If the person is a diabetic it can be a serious problem. Hypoglycemia has a lot of the same symptoms as someone who is drunk, so it might be difficult for friends and other people to pick up on the fact that a person is in a hypoglycemic state rather than a drunken stupor and the diabetic can be in real trouble!
Just a little FYI in case that shows up on NCLEX.
Thanks guys! Took boards today & it shut off at 76 questions! I honestly wasn't sure I correctly answered any of them! There were NO (literally none) lab result questions, no diabetes questions, no ob questions, no peds questions, no renal failure questions, no emergency care (life saving measure) questions! Seems like everything I studied was NOT on there! I had a "few" psych questions, but majority were meds meds meds! I feel, no I know I failed! I had no audio q's, no picture q's, no put in order of priority q's.. I feel that I couldnt answer the easy q's so they never advanced me to the alternative format q's!! I have a horrible feeling guys! I hate I have to wait 2 days!
