NCLEX-RN 265 and bad pop up credit card declined (CA)

Hi everyone!!! I have read some forums about bad pop ups yet passed. but there were a lot of people saying that they have passed because the bad pop up thru PVT was not really a bad pop up but simply did not finish the process. So anyway, I took my exam yesterday at 8am and finished around 2 in the afternoon. The long exam time was finally come to an end. My friend told me to do the PVT 30 mins after I stepped out from the test center or 30 mins after I receive the email from Pearson Vue stating that I have already completed my NCLEX. And so I did. And it was bad pop up. Mind you, I put valid CC info's including the code at the back of the card (but the I didn't have enough balance to cover the $200 registration fee). It told me that my card was declined. So, I cried on my way home- I talked to myself, then threw myself in my bedroom when I got home, and cried some more. I fell asleep while crying. Then when I woke up like around 7pm, I did the PVT again, did the same process, entered correct CC infos and hit submit, then again it was a bad pop up that blinded my eyes. I did not cry anymore, but my heart broke into pieces. But I could not do anything about it anymore. So I went back to bed, talked to myself and to God. That I am opening my hands and letting go of it, that I am already ready to accept my defeat. I slept at 10pm woke up at 1am and slept at 5am, just trying so bad to entertain myself by watching funny videos, but I cannot help but think about the exam I did- like damn! 265. the whole set of exam- and still- I did not make it. I am pretty sure I failed because of the premature PVTs I have made. So I said my prayers when I woke up, and read again the forums about the PVT; the good and the bad and how to get it, and when it will be the most accurate. Some says, it will be most accurate after 24hours since you finished the exam. Since I am stubborn, I tried again one more time. (not 24hours have past yet) still the same pop up. and so I gave up. I stopped doing the PVT- even now, that it is past the 24hour mark after I have finished the exam. I checked my breeze acct, nothing have changed. I still have the application thinggy the option to file the repeat exam, update info and something, then I have in the bottom about my initial license that says- PENDING, then when I opened it up it says status OPEN. I don't know what to do anymore. I quit my job, and prepared for this. But I guess, no matter how well prepared we are, if it is not our time, it will never be our time. I still have my faith in GOD, and will never question nor doubt in Him for whatever it will be. my hopes are still here with me, but I am already open of retaking it. My faith in God is way bigger than the disappointments I have now.

anyone of you have the same experience or in the same boat?

would like to hear your stories. I just wanna let my heartaches here and be inspired from you guys. thank you!

Hyperreligosity and failing NCLEX seem to go hand in hand for some odd reason. You'll find lots of company on the NCLEX section of this site.

I hope you pass! God is in control!

I am taking mine soon too. I have questions for you if you don't mind. So how does the NCLEX exam looks like? Do they give you a whiteboard for calculation or a sheet of paper with a pen?

*How big are the fonts? Can you make it bigger? LOL (This is the nervous me)

*Are there any lockers?

I am so clammy right now.

That is so true! GOD is in control and everything is Possible thru Him. Whatever results I would get, I will gladly accept it- if it is His will. ?

ohh. that's good! I will be including you in my prayers. ?

for the font it is fixed. but it is decent enough to be read (considering that I wear glasses, and that I would have a hard time to read for a long time without them). The size is not that big nor too small. The format and the outline of their system is very similar to Uworld (in desktop version). ?

yes! they would provide you a marker and a ply white board. you can do your calculation there, write all the normal lab values you remember before you click your mouse for your tutorial. because once you hit that mouse, even if it is in tutorial mode, your time is already running.

yes there will be lockers by the waiting area ? they will be providing it to you once you check in. they will be asking you if you have any study materials you have brought with you, smart watches, tabs, phones. and if you do, they will ask you to put it on the table, then you have to turn off your phone and your smart watch in front of them and will provide a little zip lock that is secured then ask you to put it inside including that study materials you brought (if you have some). and tell you to put it inside your bag to put it in your locker, and not to have access with that secured zip lock thing, even during your break. only your food and things that are not placed in that ziplock could be accessed by you during your break.

dont wear heavy jackets. if you want to be comfortable while taking the exam, wear a comfy sweater, with a tshirt underneath. don't wear any bangles, bracelets and necklace, as they will ask you to leave it in your locker as well.

the exam itself-

well, I can't say it is easy. because it is not. there were questions that I know for sure, that I know. but for sure it will start you off with questions that is already given- which the answers are already obvious. then it gets harder and harder. I kid you not, SATAs rained on me. 50 SATAs, one after the other. I kept a tally on my whiteboard. I got 6 EKG strips, but not to identity the strip, but the best intervention. I got 6 drag and drops. only one drug calculation. a ton of meds, and prioritizations in all systems- OB, PEDS, MEDSURG, everything you can think of. Some of them I didn't even know to tell you honestly, that I had to look it up right after I finished my exam. But they barely throw questions that are coming from MARS where you can say "I haven't heard about it". It's just that NCLEX is very tricky. Especially the prioritizations and especially when the question asks you about the best intervention you would do.

but hey! i know you can do it! you made it thru nursing school. you made it so far. so you got this!!!

nclex is another milestone.

study hard- give all your best. But also commit yourself and your profession to HIM.

that is okay ? you can ask me. I have been thru that yesterday. and I would like to help you to ease you a bit ?

true..

but as i have said, whatever the result is, it is destined and I am already open to retaking it :) It is heart breaking but I could only do so much as of the moment. I just have to pick myself up, not give up, and study even harder than the first time.. :)

Be careful with this advice, according to exam procedures this is considered brain dumping is not allowed.. A proctor that observes this will issue an incident report... however, once question 1 appears on the screen you are allowed to jot down the lab values.

Best of luck on the exam.

Really? This is an interesting observation.

Typically, the PV trick doesn't work if you got the full 265 questions.

Awwww.....Amen to everything you said!

God is faithful always!! Never stop praying.
