  1. That's great that you only have 2 to complete! That makes a huge difference. The instructors for Stats were awesome! I'm sure you will do well!
  2. Hello! I just started in April and it's ok. It depends on how many pre-req you need. That makes a huge difference. My advice is take 1 course at a time and focus on that. Don't make the same mistake I did by getting caught up on trying to finish the entire program in 6 months. Everyone has a different situation and different amount of courses to take. Definitely communicate with your course instructors. I've liked every single one so far. If I had to do it all over again, I definitely would've done this in the classroom. But I'm stuck now. I'm hoping it will get better when I start taking the actual nursing courses. Feel free to reach out if there is anything I can help you with.
  3. Do NOT give up! You just haven't found your knitch. Not everyone was made to work in the hospital. I e been a home health nurse for over 10 years now. You learn to become very independent as a HH nurse. You get to make your own schedule. Weekends vary with each company. Sometimes you won't have to pick up a weekend but every 6 weeks. The money is awesome with HH. I am a single mom and I was able to take my girls to school and be home before they walked through those doors. Complete flexibility. There are some days you will be done working after 4 hours. You can run errands in between patients. You are your own boss. In HH we do everything. From wounds, IV therapy, pleura-vacs to pure and simple education. Or even just simple blood pressure checks. Might want to look into HH. Just don't ever give up!
  4. I just passed my STATS class at WGU!!! It is a difficult class, especially if you've never taken statistics. With that being said, it is possible with diligence and perserverance and lots of prayers! Many weeks of tears, but persistence. Thank you Lord Jesus that class is now behind me!
  5. Thank you for your encouragement. I need to get it done in 6 months. Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
  6. Very encouraging!! I will have about 30 hours weekly to dedicate to school. I hope I can do as well as you did. Congratulations to you again, you should be so proud of yourself. Thanks again!
  7. So I have 55 classes to complete. I have about 25-30 hours each week I can dedicate to school. The program mentor they assigned to me was very discouraging from the beginning basically saying that this is impossible. Any advice? How general ed classes did you have to take? Did you take A&P? How do you suggest I pace this out? Thanks in advance!
  8. You have plenty of time if you start now. For the most part, they are pretty helpful.
  9. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! Congratulations to you for completing your degree!
  10. That's wonderful!!! Any advice? How many GE courses did you have to take? How many CU? Thank you
  11. featherzRN, that's awesome! I'm ready to start in about 2 weeks and feeling a little bit discouraged after the mentor made it sound like 6 months was impossible. Please give me any advice you can and explain how you were able to do 50 in 6 months. Thank you so much in advance!
  12. Just seeing this post. That's so awesome! Are you still taking questions? Thanks
  13. Great!! Thank you so much!!
  14. Oh wow, bless your heart! Just trying to figure out when Biochem comes up.
