Reported to Ca BRN
hi! I am working as an RN here in California since 2018. my education was obtained from the Philippines from 2008-2013, so its safe to say that it was the traditional nursing program. I was also a nurse there and practiced for 2 years before deciding to come back here in the US. When I applied for NCLEX back in 2015, I was asked to submit the whole breakdown of my nursing program back home and all the other things- such as our OR and L&D and new born cases- as we assist with OR and deliver babies there. I have submitted the request to the school and was completed in 2016. and only to find out that I need to go back to school for Medsurg. I went back to school only for medsurg and was able to finish in 2017 and was able to sit in and passed my NCLEX in 2018. so anywho, I have been doing traveling as local. and was doing this since 2022- on and off. as I am keeping my full-time job for benefits and health care insurance purposes. in total since 2022, I had work with 4 agencies. Namely, Cross country, ATC west, Medely and now with Maxim. few months ago, my lovely recruiter from cross country have reached out to me with an opening at LA county hospital which I told her that I am interested. Long story short, I got accepted. and that I needed to do my compliance requirements, which I did comply. then it came to my titers, vaccines and mask fit test. I asked wellnessmart to send me my recent maskfit to my email and they did. To which I have received 2 emails with the same attachment. at that time I did not pay attention and only saved the attachment. and I sent it to the compliance team at cross country. only to received a call that I will be reported to the boards for falsified mask fit test results- because they called wellnessmart and the date that was indicated with my mask fit test is different. I was asked why did this happened. I told them I don't know what they are talking about. So I reached out to wellnessmart and told them my situation. and when I returned to my email- I found out that there was a phishing email- almost the same as the real attachment. I tried to explained this to the compliance team at cross country- but they told me that I was lying and this will be reported to the boards. I am scared to the bones. although I know that I have done nothing. but we all know, we cannot mess with the boards. I get so anxious everyday because of the thought that anytime, my license could be put in suspension to get investigated. I worked hard for my license and I cannot afford to lose it. please let me know any idea of how the process will do and any advise. or just anything to calm my nerves down. thank you!

NCLEX-RN 265 and bad pop up credit card declined (CA)
Hi everyone! I know my post has been already a year old. update: yes I have failed my 1st take which was this one- the 265 one. After 2 weeks I have gotten my letter. For me the PVT was accurate enough for me to anticipate that I have failed. However, I kept my faith- stronger and intact. After 4mos of failing my 1st attempt, I have found a job as a dialysis tech. Then 2mos after I got my eligibility again for my 2nd attempt. December2018, I took and challenge the NCLEX again, I showed them again that I am worthy of that license, and with all God’s mercy and grace and will, and with hard work, I finally passed with 75 questions. I found out that I passed with the PVT trick as well- and then 2 days later my name was already posted on breeze and the licensing website. Right when I passed, I was promoted right away for an RN position at my current job as a dialysis tech. So now, 6months in- as an RN here in the US, and I could not be happier. The failure I had when I took it the first time was a milestone- for me to get ready and be situated well enough. And I trusted the whole process. It was effortless for me to find a RN job because of my current job that time- maybe God wanted me to be situated first before letting me have that license the first time. But you know what, 2nd time or 3rd or so on is worthy too as the 1st take. And I learned that the 2nd time, you’d value it more. Don’t lose hope if you failed the 1st, 2nd 3rd or 4th time or whatever time already. There are reasons why it happened. Just trust the process. And don’t be scared in trying it again- and again and again. I always believe that failure doesn’t stand on it’s definition until you stop trying. So go out there and challenge the NCLEX. What I came to realized when I took my 2nd attempt, was that, we could never be ready no matter how well prepared we are- because the questions are different from one another and it varies too. So just bring your confidence and your faith in God and yourself. Be positive and Claim it! Everything that is worth waiting is worth having! God bless and Good luck my fellow co nurses!

Air Force Nurse
hi! I just wanna ask about the overview of Air force nurse. as i really want to join once i pass my nclex. I gained my BSN in the Philippines year 2013. I'm an RN there as well. Had few years of experience as a nurse back there. I am a US citizen thru my mom. Anyway, I applied for NCLEX RN here in CA last 2015, however found me deficient in MS and was required to go back to school. 2017 I completed my deficiency- I went to CSUSB and as well completed my clinical hours together with the theory. So, I wanna know if they don't really accept someone who is an international graduate? as this really breaks my heart. Thank you! and please i need advices too.

Nurse Attendants in UCLA
Hey everyone! So a little about me, I will be retaking my NCLEX when I am already ready. I have earned my BSNursing in the Philippines batch 2013. I was a nurse back there and had 2years of experience. Got back here and worked as a caregiver for Dementia and AD pts for 1 year and a half. Went back to school here to remove my deficiency for MS nursing- I went to CSUSB. Had my clinical internship at Arrowhead for the whole summer of 2017. And now I am working for DaVita as PCT, i am under their Star program where they are sending me for theory class and skills, so i could meet the requirements so I could take the state exam for a hemodialysis tech. I will be finishing the whole theory and skills this August, then will just complete the pt contact hours so i could finally take the State exam. At the same time I am working as a nurse attendant in a hospital- but I don't have a CNA certificate and my director is well aware- because when I applied I was on the process of submitting my paperworks so I could just challenge it instead of going back to school for it. So 2 weeks ago I got my eligibility to challenge the CNA state exam. But i havent taken it yet because of my exams quizzes for my PCT training and all that. But I am going to take it soon enough (CNA). So now, I have applied for Kaiser and UCLA for CNA position, do you guys think I stand a chance, despite of my presented situation? Thank you :) and this is only a per diem position.

CA BRN- Processing time for Reapplication (international grad)
Hey everyone! I took my first exam last Feb15,2018, but unfortunately failed. I sent my reapplication first week of March (because I know there will be a 45 day grace period before taking another exam) so I figured that it is practical to send in the reapplication in advance, so by the time they open it, I already pass the 45 day period. So anyway, I checked the status on my breeze account, and indeed it was already open dated 04/11/2018 and the status is still pending. The check that I have included was already cashed out as well. I went to the Ca BRN website and check the processing time. My question is, is the processing time legit? Because I fall in the international applicants because I have finished my degree in the Philippines. Is it really 12-16 weeks of waiting? any suggestions? who are in the same boat as I am? thank you!

That is so true! GOD is in control and everything is Possible thru Him. Whatever results I would get, I will gladly accept it- if it is His will. ? ohh. that's good! I will be including you in my prayers. ? for the font it is fixed. but it is decent enough to be read (considering that I wear glasses, and that I would have a hard time to read for a long time without them). The size is not that big nor too small. The format and the outline of their system is very similar to Uworld (in desktop version). ? yes! they would provide you a marker and a ply white board. you can do your calculation there, write all the normal lab values you remember before you click your mouse for your tutorial. because once you hit that mouse, even if it is in tutorial mode, your time is already running. yes there will be lockers by the waiting area ? they will be providing it to you once you check in. they will be asking you if you have any study materials you have brought with you, smart watches, tabs, phones. and if you do, they will ask you to put it on the table, then you have to turn off your phone and your smart watch in front of them and will provide a little zip lock that is secured then ask you to put it inside including that study materials you brought (if you have some). and tell you to put it inside your bag to put it in your locker, and not to have access with that secured zip lock thing, even during your break. only your food and things that are not placed in that ziplock could be accessed by you during your break. dont wear heavy jackets. if you want to be comfortable while taking the exam, wear a comfy sweater, with a tshirt underneath. don't wear any bangles, bracelets and necklace, as they will ask you to leave it in your locker as well. the exam itself- well, I can't say it is easy. because it is not. there were questions that I know for sure, that I know. but for sure it will start you off with questions that is already given- which the answers are already obvious. then it gets harder and harder. I kid you not, SATAs rained on me. 50 SATAs, one after the other. I kept a tally on my whiteboard. I got 6 EKG strips, but not to identity the strip, but the best intervention. I got 6 drag and drops. only one drug calculation. a ton of meds, and prioritizations in all systems- OB, PEDS, MEDSURG, everything you can think of. Some of them I didn't even know to tell you honestly, that I had to look it up right after I finished my exam. But they barely throw questions that are coming from MARS where you can say "I haven't heard about it". It's just that NCLEX is very tricky. Especially the prioritizations and especially when the question asks you about the best intervention you would do. but hey! i know you can do it! you made it thru nursing school. you made it so far. so you got this!!! nclex is another milestone. study hard- give all your best. But also commit yourself and your profession to HIM. that is okay ? you can ask me. I have been thru that yesterday. and I would like to help you to ease you a bit ?

NCLEX-RN 265 and bad pop up credit card declined (CA)
Hi everyone!!! I have read some forums about bad pop ups yet passed. but there were a lot of people saying that they have passed because the bad pop up thru PVT was not really a bad pop up but simply did not finish the process. So anyway, I took my exam yesterday at 8am and finished around 2 in the afternoon. The long exam time was finally come to an end. My friend told me to do the PVT 30 mins after I stepped out from the test center or 30 mins after I receive the email from Pearson Vue stating that I have already completed my NCLEX. And so I did. And it was bad pop up. Mind you, I put valid CC info's including the code at the back of the card (but the I didn't have enough balance to cover the $200 registration fee). It told me that my card was declined. So, I cried on my way home- I talked to myself, then threw myself in my bedroom when I got home, and cried some more. I fell asleep while crying. Then when I woke up like around 7pm, I did the PVT again, did the same process, entered correct CC infos and hit submit, then again it was a bad pop up that blinded my eyes. I did not cry anymore, but my heart broke into pieces. But I could not do anything about it anymore. So I went back to bed, talked to myself and to God. That I am opening my hands and letting go of it, that I am already ready to accept my defeat. I slept at 10pm woke up at 1am and slept at 5am, just trying so bad to entertain myself by watching funny videos, but I cannot help but think about the exam I did- like damn! 265. the whole set of exam- and still- I did not make it. I am pretty sure I failed because of the premature PVTs I have made. So I said my prayers when I woke up, and read again the forums about the PVT; the good and the bad and how to get it, and when it will be the most accurate. Some says, it will be most accurate after 24hours since you finished the exam. Since I am stubborn, I tried again one more time. (not 24hours have past yet) still the same pop up. and so I gave up. I stopped doing the PVT- even now, that it is past the 24hour mark after I have finished the exam. I checked my breeze acct, nothing have changed. I still have the application thinggy the option to file the repeat exam, update info and something, then I have in the bottom about my initial license that says- PENDING, then when I opened it up it says status OPEN. I don't know what to do anymore. I quit my job, and prepared for this. But I guess, no matter how well prepared we are, if it is not our time, it will never be our time. I still have my faith in GOD, and will never question nor doubt in Him for whatever it will be. my hopes are still here with me, but I am already open of retaking it. My faith in God is way bigger than the disappointments I have now. anyone of you have the same experience or in the same boat? would like to hear your stories. I just wanna let my heartaches here and be inspired from you guys. thank you!
