NCLEX results, I'm freaking out

Published

NI took my NCLEX yesterday at 2pm and I am waiting on my NCLEX results. The computer shut down after 85 questions and the last 4-5 questions were prioritization questions. I'm so nervous, I don't know if I passed or failed. I looked up some of the questions I remembered and I got most of them wrong. But I don't think I did so bad that I failed... I don't know anymore. Some people said they have an active license 6 hours to 24 hours after their test. I'm nearing my 24 hour mark. I called my BON and they said they have not received results. Should I do the PVT or wait for quick results? Does it still work or did Pearson Vue put a stop on that trick????

if I do try to do the Pearson Vue trick and it let me register and charged my cc, does that mean I failed?? I hear that some people got charged yet passed their NCLEX..

how ow long did you guys wait until you saw "active" RN license?

I would wait for quick results. The PVT is just a trick and it may be wrong. I would not want to waste $$$$ on a trick. Good luck to you.

If you want to give a shot on PVT make sure to use CRedit with less $200. Try it still working. 😊

The current PVT does work. If the system does not have you listed as "passed" then it will attempt to collect the $200 from whatever valid credit card you inputted. If the available balance is less than $200, then you'll get a "card declined" message... If the system has you listed as "pass" then you'll be unable to schedule a new exam as you've recently taken/scheduled the exam.

The PVT DOES NOT WORK.

A friend just took the nclex (1/12/15) and it let her try to register immediately after. The next day the BON showed that she did pass and now has her RN license.

did pearson charge her credit card? or she never submitted?

Your friend did it WRONG. Please take a look around this forum to see why. My first guess is she did not actually submit her credit card info, she saw that she had to and ASSUMED this meant she failed. SHE was wrong....not PVT.

The PVT does work if the steps are followed... if the steps followed are those before early August 2014, those are incorrect steps. The new method requires that a credit card be entered and that "submit" be clicked before will get either an attempt to collect $200 from you or the "good popup" text that has been shown here a LOT.

Okay then- thanks for the clarification. I'm taking mine on 1/30 and am not even going to try it. Going to go the old fashioned route and bite my nails and distract myself for a day. :)

As far as the PVT goes, like everything in nursing is "it depends" There are people in the same graduating class, who tested at the same testing center, on the same day, at the same time that used the PVT. For some of them, it worked and for others it didn't. By that I mean, some got the good pop up and passed, some got the bad pop up and STILL passed. The people who tell you that if you get the bad pop up means you fail, have no idea what they are talking about. If you get the good pop up, then for sure you passed, but you can get the bad pop up and still pass. They can say I'm doing it wrong or whatever, but when we did it, we used the same computer, same visa gift card, at the same time. For some of us, it was still the good pop up and for some of us it was the bad pop up, but we were all updated as passing by our BON. In short, just wait for the board of nursing to update your license. The PVT might work, but it might not.

double post somehow...??

You are right on much, but wrong on some :) And yes, despite your belief otherwise....it appears you DID do it wrong. As did your friends all doing it together. You are all missing a vital fact: your exam is scored TWICE. You only allowed for ONE scoring, therefore, ONE pop up. And that was your error. First scoring immediately upon conclusion of test, second at some point over the next 24 hours. Unless you and your friends all did the PVT 25 hours after completion of your exam....every one of you...and that seems highly unlikely since you say you all did it together at the same computer......then your results are invalid.

Those who say "it didn't work" are not doing it correctly, it's that simple. If you do this thing before a full 24 hours has passed, ALL you know is what the first scoring was.

You absolutely CAN get the 'good pop up' and fail, you would be mistaken to think otherwise. Likewise, you can get the 'bad pop up' and pass. Those who got the 'bad pop up' and still passed were people who had a score of 'fail' on the first go-through; lucky them that their SECOND score was a pass! Nothing wrong there except the execution of the PVT.

Typically, people do the PVT right after their exam, or a half hour later, an hour, three hours later, whatever. They see the pop up and make their determination THEN as to whether they have passed or failed. They have only half the picture, however, and DO NOT KNOW anything until the exam scoring process is complete.
