NCLEX Pearson Vue Trick Ever Wrong??

Nursing Students NCLEX

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone! So I just took the NCLEX RN for the first time on 8/22/17 and started at 8am. The anticipation is killer... So I got all 265 questions on the exam and it took like five and a half hours. I left the test and pretty much bawled my eyes out because I felt so badly about how I did. I felt like the questions I were answering, especially at the end, weren't passing level questions. However, I tried the Pearson Vue Trick and got the "good" pop up. I entered all my cc info and hit submit and it said "our records indicate you've recently scheduled an exam.....bla bla bla". So that gives me some hope but still not too sure. Like, I just felt I did so poorly with ALL 265 qs. Has anyone ever gotten a false positive PVT?? Also, I'll get my results via the quick results tomorrow, does the 48 hours from the test mean from the time you started or ended? Any insight would be great..I'm not able to sleep. Thanks y'all!

I tried PVT on my first attempt, got the bad popup 'your card was declined...' 1 hour afterwards and the rest of the day; found out the next morning that I failed.

Today I went in for my second attempt, and I got a good popup 'Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time.' 1 hour afterwards.

Hoping for the best. The whole waiting for results part is honestly worse than preparing for the exam or anticipation the day of.

How was it? Did the PVT work for you?

Yes, PVT was an accurate predictor for me on both occasions.

I've never heard of it being wrong, but I still wouldn't rely on it, you never know!

Has anyone really gotten a false positive?

Specializes in CVICU/ED, CCRN-CSC, CFRN.

Yes, people have gotten false positives because the trick it self is an exploitation of the sites billing software. Deep breath and relax.

I’ve never heard of a false positive. I think the people saying yes that there’s been false positives haven’t really seen them and just want you to be cautious since it’s not official and therefore risks exist

Except that we have seen them. It's been documented right here on AN. Also, if we wanted someone to be cautious we'd straight up tell them that. No need to lie to get our point across. Awesome first post. ?

It was wrong for me. I took the NCLEX in June, and got the bad pop-up after waiting about 5 hours. Maybe I did it too early or something, idk?? I got my passing results through quick results 2 days later (and it popped up on my state's online board)! Good luck to you!
