I just took it. 75 Questions. I don't feel like there was one question where I was like, "I Know this!!!" I felt like I was at best giving slightly educated guesses. Every question was so hard and obscure. I was a good student in school, did ALL of the Kaplan review (which was over 2000 practice questions when it was said and done) which indicated I was more than ready.
I just feel like crying now and I wanted to cry while I was taking that test. There were questions with 4 right answers and drugs and diseases I have NEVER EVEN HEARD of ever!
The only thing that gives me hope is that since I got no what seemed to be easy questions, that I answered enough difficult ones correctly and that's why it shut off at 75.
Interestingly, I had not one singe math question, nor put in the correct order question.
Well hopefully I find out Monday or Tuesday...
I took one HESI exam when I went to Drexel, but when I transferred to another school, they did ATIs there. I hated ATIs because it felt like it didn't follow what we learned in class. The ATI has books for you to review from, and if you didn't use the book to study and just used text books, you wouldn't do as well. I failed once in MedSurg but I think it was from a bad day because I took it the next time and blew it out of the water.
I am retesting for the third time and everytime i get back report i am almost there. I am schedule for August 5, i very confident this time around and know i have to focus. I am still in the fight and i am not giving up. I made it so far and i am going to be a RN. good luck and my prayers to everyone who is taking the nclex!
Aggy, you probably do study to much. However, I went and actually saw a councelor lol. I was like a basket case lol with that hesi thing and she said, it is almost a OCD trait. You are pacifying your anxiety by studying like insane. She did not tell me to stop studying not even really to slow it down. She just told me to think about how I am studying and then when I went home and thought aobut it I was like " Yes, my studying made no sense." I did not stop studying, but I did reduce it a little bit since then and I feel much better actually. I feel like I am not feeling so rushed anymore and I can actually accomplish my list, whereas before I would not even be able to make it through my study list and then I felt like I had to make up what I missed the day prior. Now I found a way to study to were I can leave the house and do other stuff, but still get quality study time in and I am able to mark off on my list my studying and not feel like I have to make-up stuff the next day, because now I actually finish my list!
That is what I need to do...I haven't really followed my schedule because I get so upset when I get review questions wrong and I just end up taking a break that turns into into a long one. I havn't studied all day today because I was sick, but I need to just take it on day at a time and be a little less anxious.

Some schools have you take a Hesi Exit Exam. Everyone in my class who took Hesi and already the Nclex, told me that Hesi is much harder then Nclex. The acceptable passing rate is 850 which should give you about 98% chance to pass the Nclex and our school went with the recommended 900, which is giving you like nearly 100% pass rate. Our school actually has on nclex 100% pass rate because of this Hesi, but I would not wish that monster on anyone. Many if they do not pass it after a certain amount of time never get the chance to take the Nclex, in fact, they can not even transfer their classes and almost have to start from scratch again. It really bites ass. I kept getting between 850 and 875, then finally, when they said we take a fake hesi and I thought it was fake and my nerves were not on edge I made a 951. Thank God
