I just took it. 75 Questions. I don't feel like there was one question where I was like, "I Know this!!!" I felt like I was at best giving slightly educated guesses. Every question was so hard and obscure. I was a good student in school, did ALL of the Kaplan review (which was over 2000 practice questions when it was said and done) which indicated I was more than ready.
I just feel like crying now and I wanted to cry while I was taking that test. There were questions with 4 right answers and drugs and diseases I have NEVER EVEN HEARD of ever!
The only thing that gives me hope is that since I got no what seemed to be easy questions, that I answered enough difficult ones correctly and that's why it shut off at 75.
Interestingly, I had not one singe math question, nor put in the correct order question.
Well hopefully I find out Monday or Tuesday...
I took boards in May and had 265 questions and retook them Monday 7/13 and found out a few hours ago I passed with 76 questions. To anyone who gets discouraged, how I overcame Nclex was by strengthening my faith and looking at it a totally different way. You truly have to have faith first and when you sit in front of that monster computer, you decide you are in control of it and not them. Words of encouragement: take the test don't let it take you!!! Signing off as a new RN!!! Wooohoooooo:nurse:

Yeah I felt the same way you did after I took the exam earlier this month! I had two days of anxiety to be sure! When it cut off at 75 I was saying to myself, " I need more questions!" But I felt as though you were not given enough info. on some questions. I had a ton of select all that appy and I know other nurses have stated if you get a lot of those you will be okay. I had one place in order. Needless to say, I passed!!!!! Thank the Lord!!!! Good luck to you. Let us know how you did.:wink2:
