hello and welcomeblackandsparkly.gif to allnurses.com

glad you joined.

i moved your thread to the philippine forum for a better response. hope you enjoy the site.

I love the way that these rumors start. The exam has not even been offered yet in your country, but your instructor knows results. Suggest that you stop your training with this person as soon as possible as they know nothing about the NCLEX exam in the first place.

I do not care which state that you write the exam for, nor the location that you take the exam in, the exam is not going to be different. It is a CAT exam, which means that it is computer based, and your exam will be different from others that are taking it at the same time. Questions are given to you by the computer in relation to how you answered the previous questions.

But I find it very odd that they think that they know anything about the exam when it has not even started there as of yet. So that just proves my point.

And for years we heard that the exam was harder for NY, or it was harder for CA, but it is a national exam. And has nothing to do with the state that you are writing in for, nor anything to do with where you actually test.

Please tell your wonderful lecturer to get their information correct before spreading rumors, there are already enough there. This person does not need to add to it. Just proves that they do not know a thing.

Not good for them at all.:angryfire

pls. tell your instructor that there is no such thing as passing rate in nclexrn. either you passed or failed. it is based on how you perform in the exam. wether the computer stops at 75 or 265, doesn't mean you pass or fail, you will only find out until you get the result in the mail. i can tell that your instructor have never seen, or taken the exam. you are a new grad nurse. you should not beleive what other people will tell you because you should know better. wether you will take the exam in saipan, hk, california, or new york, or where ever, it is pretty much the same! you are given different pool of exam, and no exam are alike. what makes it harder for you to pass is when your not well prepared, and you didn't study for the exam. either you rush to take the exam as soon as you graduated from nursing school, or you thought the exam is a piece of cake. i don't know where these people are getting their information. pls. read the true facts. your instructor is sooo wrong, i bet you she/he never even took nclexrn. i hate to see these young, inexperience instructors who give wrong information to their students!! just because they passed their nle and have a local rn license, they think they knew everything! i bet you they didn't even have a real hospital facility job before working as a clinical instructor...this is soooo sad, arrrgh! okay, i know lawrence will hate me for saying this!:uhoh3:

you may find my inquiry a stupid question but i opt to ask it though, would we be needing the same requirements to present if we are to take the exam here in our country? i am talking about the passport.. would we be needing such knowing that we are citizens of this country? and if not, what would be the alternative to such? thanks a bunch!

in the contrary, i agree with everything you've posted.

the instructor obviously haven't even taken the nclex yet and how could she even say that it has a much lower passing rate when it is just about to open.

this also goes for the instructors in review centers. make sure that they have at least taken it. if they haven't taken it yet, they have no business giving nclex reviews. it will be no diff. from just self-reviewing w/ the multitude of nclex review books out there.

They will still need that since your passport will validate your identity.

Totally agree with it!

to know more about nclex. why dont you visit this website, www.ncsbn.org before totally believing to whatever your instructor says. do your research so you would have an idea about nclex.

your instructor doesnt even know what she is talking. this makes me sick, giving wrong information without even knowing what is nclex all about.

stay away from a review center if you are planning to especially if the instructors will give you wrong information. they just want your money.

self review is better than going to a review center. good luck.

OH BOY..:uhoh3: YOU NEED TO GET OUT FROM THAT REVIEW CENTER. NO ONE CAN TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THE HOWS, THE WHERES, WHYS AND THE WHATS ABOUT NCLEX EXCEPT FOR THE NCSBN.

DONT LET URSELF BE CONNECTED TO SOMEONE WHO IS TOTALLY LOST AND IGNORANT WHEN IT COMES TO NCLEX.. THERES ALOT OF PEOPLE LIKE THAT AND ONE OF THOSE IS YOUR LECTURER.

SORRY TO SAY THAT,BUT THATS A FACT THAT I KNOW EVERYONE HERE WILL AGREE

This is very true. There are a lot of phonies. There are even so-called lecturers that cannot pass either the CGFNS exam or the NCLEX Exam and believe it or not, some don't even know the 1st step in applying for one.
