Published

hi! this is jhaf from the phils. my long wait is over because NCLEX exam is now serving our country but i heard a lot of rumors about it, my lecturer advised me that taking the nclex exam here in the phils. is a big mistake because of a low passing rate, much harder exam to be given compare if i'm going to take it in other country especially in a U.S territory. Please give me a good advise.thanks!

hey NCLEX will be here in the Philippines on August 23...

just wanna ask if it's true that you can only apply for CA or NM licensure if you're planning to take your nclex exam here in the Philippines?!

NO. Does not matter which board of nursing you apply for your licensure. NCLEX is a national exam not pertinent to one state.

Just like what Anna said. This is not true. I hope this did not come from any of your instructors or reviewers because if it did, I can say to you straight up that he doesn't know he is saying and may even have not even taken the NCLEX.

you can apply for licensure in all 50 states if you wish. tell your instructors to stop giving false information.

what review center is that? i would never dare apply there. they love giving false information what about the content of their lectures maybe some of the information are misleading. uh oh stay away from that review center, why not spend the money on a good book and do a self review instead?

you may find my inquiry a stupid question but i opt to ask it though, would we be needing the same requirements to present if we are to take the exam here in our country? i am talking about the passport.. would we be needing such knowing that we are citizens of this country? and if not, what would be the alternative to such? thanks a bunch!

hi, stephensonwater! i wrote to pearson vue regarding this matter a few weeks ago. here is part of the response:

"...for candidates testing outside the us only a passport (with english signature) is acceptable for id. you will not be admitted to the examination without the proper id and your authorization to test; if you arrive without the materials, you will be required to register again and pay additional examination fees.

it's just a review center in the U-belt area in manila. don't worry, I'm not enrolled in their review for the nclex exam. I'm a part-time review assistant to their local boards review. I just got alarmed when they said that to the students and start giving some papers on how to apply for licensure in CA.:uhoh3:

hope anybody here can enlighten me with this question. i do have a passport with an english signature. however, its not the same as the signature i used in my new mexico application. i used my entire name as my signature in my nm application just like in my cgfns application. ncsbn states that the name in the passport should match that of the application but no mention about the signature. would that be a problem?

we are on the same boat astroboy!

but theres a thread here that answers our queries..

i think it would not be a problem at all.... becoz the only requirement you are going to present during actual exam day is the ATT and your proof of personal identification which is your PASS PORT.. ATT did not contain your signture just the info's about you when you rgister 4 exam..unlike in passport which nid your signature...
