NCLEX March 2012

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi all!

Just seeing if there are any March 2012 NCLEX takers out there! I have been studing so hard for the past 2 months and finally got my ATT from my school, so I am registered to take my test the first week in March! I am so excited and nervous about taking it... excited about *hopefully* passing and nervous about the whole testing process! I am just ready for this to be over with so I can move on with my life and start my nursing career! What have you guys been studying? Any former NCLEX takers wanna give any insight? All replies are appreciated! Good luck to everyone!:nurse:

For Olga 77 - Some of the NCLEX questions are easy and some are not. Saunders only helps you with choosing the right answer if you take the time to go through the rational. You never know what content you will get on the test so it's hard to study everything that could be on it but with Saunders you can pick what you're weak in and focus on that. For me, OB and peds are my weak areas and I got quite a few of those but no math questions. I suck at math so I spent unnecessary time getting ready for those so I lucked out. Work on your weak areas and not your strengths! You know the content, now you just have to understand what answer they are asking for. BTW, I guessed at quite a few answers so it didn't hurt me too bad to kind of deduce what the answer was. Here's another tip to help your brain. Eat fish for two days before you study and especially the night before. I also took two fish oil capsules while studying and I personally feel that my memory is sharper and recall is easier with the fish. Good luck and know that you can do this!

You can try this one http://www.mims.com/Philippines/drug/info/Glutaphos/Glutaphos%20tab. I took it everyday after breakfast/brunch since I reviewed for Philippine local boards, also when I'm still in nursing school. I'm not sure though if it's avail there in US coz I searched it, it's not classified there. And review to a part of the day where you are most active/focused. I knew that I should better study in the wee hours of the morning since I was in elementary. ;) And so, I'm still doing it until now. And eat something, drink fluids while studying. Don't starve yourself. I have my water and some cookies beside my table whenever I study. As for me, caffeine also works. However, it depends for some.

Hi All!

I'm testing on 3/9 Nclex-pn(1st time) been out of school for over a year...

Good luck & prayers for everyone!!! :-))

I've been studying from Kaplan 2012/2013ed. Strategies, Practice & Review

Saunders Comprehensive

Evolve Elsevier (school site)

100?'s a-day

I also downloaded/copy every study guide the members from this website posted!!! I suggest everyone to put the words "study guide" in the search key on this site and get the information because it is definitely out there (free of charge). The information has really broaden my mind and thinking about the nursing process. I feel more confident than ever!

Thanks to the kind ppl (who took the time to past along info) that helped them pass the Nclex>>>>GENIUSES!!!!

Good Luck :-)))))))

Good luck and God bless us both! We will test on the same day. Though I'm taking it here in Phils. and it's my 2nd time, and it's for an RN exam. Nevertheless, praying for us to get positive results. :)

Thanx-a-bunch purplechicxiii!!!! I will keep you in mind on that day!

PDA is one of the best review book ever!! Highly-recommended. It has high end questions + it's focused on prio, delagation questions, w/c you can see for sure in any nclex exam. So it's a must!

Hey all! Long weekend, didn't get on here to respond to any of you! Great suggestions, though! I have been studying Saunders 4th Edition-- I read about half of the book, did all the questions on the CD, I have done the 3500 questions on RN pedia.com which I thought were really helpful, the allnurses studyguide (a must have!) and I have been studying this HUGE review book that my classmates and I had to make before the end of nursing school... it covers EVERYTHING and I swear it has to be at least 2,000 pages. I am going to finish it today. I just hope that is enough to get me through! I can honestly say I have given it my all, and I hope all this studying pays off! I have been reading that the Saunders is wayyy easier than the NCLEX. Does anyone know if this is true? I thought the correct answer was usually easy to pick out because you can readily eliminate at least 2 answers. I have built up my confidence on passing since nursing school- its amazing all that they don't teach you! I have learned so much just from reading stuff online! I pray that we all pass! We can do this! :heartbeat

i read this and no i did not see anywhere i can get it here. :) thanks though....

Hi everyone! I will be taking the RN exam in two days. March 1. first day of the week, first day of the month.... first time taker and hopefully first time passing! lol Today I finished Kaplan trainers and qbanks. WHOOHOOOOO! lol It's amazing how much reading content can boost your scores up. My scores reflected as if a different person was taking them. lol I read the Kaplan book twice and this ati book on everything but medsurg. I was trying to focus on OB and peds cuz theyre my weakness. I also had feuer content recordings on medsurg, peds, psych, and maternity. They were pretty funny except the medsurg part cuz it was so long and tedious that I fell asleep so many times... (also same for kaplan content review). I also tried to do saunders and found them to be much easier than kaplan. I think theyre better only for reviewing content. I took some SATA questions on another saunder book with a bunch of sata questions. So tomorrow I think I'm just going to try reviewing like lab values, immunization stuff... also I will be reviewing this 35 pages sheet I found here. There is also a 300 something pages of really good reviews but it was so overwhelming to read, but I noticed that it has mostly rationales from kaplan qbanks and trainers.... Anyways I hope everyone is studying well! :D

P.S. I love fish! lol My bf is also feeding me yogurt, chocolates, and nuts. lol They feed my brain.
