NCLEX Long Island NY - How long did it take you to receive ATT and schedule NCLEX ?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hey everyone ! I am from eastern Long Island, and I just graduated nursing school 2 days ago ! I have submitted my application to NYS Nursing Board and registered with Pearson VUE. I am just wondering how far out are the dates for testing and how long did it take you to receive your ATT ? I submitted May 12, 10 days before actual graduation. Also any study tips welcome too ? I do have UWORLD and so far I love it, but I've only been doing 10-15 questions at a time.

Hello, everyone!

Where did you guys get your fingerprints taken? I didn’t know that that’s a requirement. I’ve never been fingerprinted before.

You can get them done at the UPS store. It depends on your state though, in FL we had to get ours done but I see from this thread other states don't. You should check with someone first before you waste your time/money.

Yes, our school gave us a folder with NCLEX and PearsonVue registration instructions and no mention of fingerprints. I don't think anyone in my cohort had too either.

I was trying to quote you guys, but it won't allow me to do so.

Anyway, thank you for your responses! I did further research and fingerprints aren't required to take the NCLEX in my state (NY). My school hasn't given us any information on how to apply to the NCLEX (but we figured it out on our own). They only sent us a link to apply for our licenses on NYSED and that was it.

My school did not provide any direction to us either. I literally had to do my own research on what steps to take next. If you applied for your license and registered with Pearson, you're good to go. No other action is required on your end.

I did all of that. Thank you very much for your response. You put my mind at ease!

Hi everyone. Any updates on getting the ATT? I graduated May 20th and still waiting.

I just received my ATT this morning. I also graduated May 20th. My fellow classmates received their ATT today also. Not sure if its done as a cohort, but it seems that way, as we all registered on different days but all received our ATT today. Some are going to the city to take it and others are waiting. Alot of dates are not available until end of October, but take the soonest one and then check availability a few times a day. I was able to reschedule and get the testing center I wanted in mid July. Good luck !! Hope you get your ATT asap !

Thanks for the update! Good for you!! It sounds like it must be by cohort as no one in mine hasn't gotten it yet. Also, my school is a little disorganized so I wouldn't be surprised if they sent in our information late.

I also heard about the late dates in October. Good to know it's not impossible to get a sooner date at least.

Hey everyone, I hope studying is going well. I finally got my ATT code!! When I was scheduling my exam this morning, there were limited dates in July and none in August but I checked not too long ago and there's more availability for July and one in August (for those who live in NYC).

This Wednesday makes exactly 6 weeks ago since I graduated, took longer than expected but I hope this helps someone who might still be waiting. Good luck!

I finally got my ATT code.

I graduated May 28th. It took 7 weeks and 1 day to receive it. Dates are either next week or in December.

Good luck, everyone!

What a big gap ? I'm guessing you'll take it next week then?

Awesome Sauce! If you have been studying this entire time and you're confident, I would schedule it for next week.... But also keep in mind, that people reschedule their exams a lot, so before bed, check for new open appointments as they pop up randomly everyday. Good luck!
