Memorial Health Care Nurse Residency 2020

The question is, have the selected applicants been notified yet or are they still going through applications? Has anyones status been changed from under review?

    Advice for new RN graduate..

Do you have a desire to live in FL for other reasons? If its just for work, I would not recommend it. Cost of living is high and the pay is low, and its hard to find jobs honestly.

Awesome! Are you external? Also, are you a BSN?
  4. What a big gap I'm guessing you'll take it next week then?

That was always the plan. May cohort = July start date. July cohort = September start date.

I haven't because I'm afraid of messing with anything at this point.
  7. I didn't think that was possible! Personally I wouldn't recommend it. Imagine climbing to one of the highest ranks in nursing with zero actual nursing experience. After you get your BSN I would try to work for at least a year. You pick up a lot on the job and I think it would be a benefit for you.

I can't believe this - wearing a mask during the test?

Why do you think it would be just us? Any test administered through Pearson (including the MCAT) will require test takers to don a mask. If you don't feel comfortable testing, then don't. You should reach out to your state's BON and see what they say about extending your ATT window.

    NCLEX-RN study prep

I got it a couple weeks after I graduated but I should have gotten it sooner. It seems most people take 3-4 weeks to study with it which is how long the least expensive option is (a month of access). But it really depends on how well you feel prepared! If you feel unsure you should definitely take more time to look over your stuff.

Yep, and taking notes of anything pertinent. And I have no clue I have yet to receive my ATT and who knows when I will find an available test date. What about you?

UWorld and Saunders but I have not yet tested so I don't know if that route will be successful yet

If all else fails go to HCA

Did you really feel like the NCSBN review was that good? I did not feel like the questions were challenging enough (so I felt like it was under-preparing me) and the rationales could have been better. I was annoyed I spent money on it honestly. But I am glad it worked out for you in the end.
  14. You can get them done at the UPS store. It depends on your state though, in FL we had to get ours done but I see from this thread other states don't. You should check with someone first before you waste your time/money.

Oh I see. I wasn't aware there was such a thing!

    NCLEX Repeater

I'm a little confused. You said you went to a private school with an average NCLEX pass rate. Broward College is not private, and the NCLEX pass rate there is very high.
