Hi Everyone, I was just curious as to what, how everyone else was doing in their kaplan, saunders or whichever nclex practice scores and uh the result of your nclex exam. Most of the posts I found were ah a few years old. Also good luck everyone who has still to take the exam. Please share or comment on the following:

- Kaplan QT 1-7 scores

- Kaplan Qbank average

- Kaplan Diagnostic Test

- Kaplan Readiness Test

- Total practice questions completed

- How long did you prepare

- Questions per day

- Books used

- iPhone Apps

- NCLEX result and number of questions asked of you.

Just took it this morning and got the good pop up as well. It was harder than I anticipated it to be. I keep being paranoid that the pop up is going to change. I definitely said a lot of prayers too!

I am so unsure of myself. My scores are

Diagnostic 61

Readiness. 60

Trainer 6 60

Trainer 7 57

everyone at kaplan and on this site say to try to make 60 on the last 2 trainers but there is no advice from kaplan what to do if you don't quite make 60 on everythmg

I failed at 265 the first time so as you can imagine I feel lost as to what to do

well up to you at almost 60% you probably can take it, though if you have time left spend it studying up on your weak spot.

Page 2 of this thread has a list of pass rates based on the readiness score. its more important to know how to approach questions, why you got something wrong. Good luck!

I did the Kaplan Pre-test that was free, don't remember the name. I scored in the 60s.

- Total practice questions completed: Maybe 1000-1500

- How long did you prepare: A few good weeks

- Questions per day: 30 some, 100 on others

- Books: I had the Kaplan review class book, I got through half of it.

- Android Apps: Davis

- NCLEX result and # of Ques: Pass: 75 questions

I honestly felt that I had an excellent education and learned what I needed to learn in school, I felt prepared for my NCLEX when I graduated. We did ATI tests, which I hated, but looking back I can appreciate them.

In addition, I found this to be extremely helpful. I did 4, 5, 8, and 9...and of course 10!!

My Scores:

Kaplan Scores

Kaplan Sample NCLEX tests

Test 1 56% Second time 88%

Hurst Sample Tests (only did 3 out of the 6)

Test 1 64% (80/125)

Test 2 72% (90/125)

Test 3 67% (84/125)

I started test 4 but never came back to them cause I was doing Kaplan, NCLEX 4000, Saunders and Mosby.

I played around for a month after grad doing some mini studying. But when I got serious I did strickly contect for two weeks while taking Kaplan then I did question with the Kaplan content videos. After that purely questions for two weeks.

I got the good pop-up so hopefully the PVT hasn't changed.

I memorized some bible verse and just said them over and over when I felt like I was failing. It help calm me down alot.

I used Saunders disc practice questions that came with the book. When I took my nclex I didnt find myself being sure of 80% of my answers like I did on Saunders. In Saunders I did the entire 1000+ Analysis and application questions and probably got 75%. I dont think that disc is a good prep for nclex for everyone. The answer choices dont resemble the difficulty of answers choices you get on nclex. Most of the time there is a clear answer on Saunders. In fact I dont even remember them having hardly any questions when you would have 2 assessment and 2 implimentation to pick from.

My professor told us that if one is getting 67% or more on practice tests in NCLEX 4000, one is ready to sit for the exam.

Thoughts?

Went ahead and tested today. 86 questions and the good pop up. Night and day difference from the first test. This time I knew every med and procedure. I wonder if sometimes you just get harder questions?

I was scoring around that range on NCLEX 4000 and passed.

NCLEX 4000 is generally focused on content questions. It has great review on topics so it would definitely be beneficial to use, but I don't recommend only using that as a study tool. Also don't let numbers make you think you will pass the test. I took the Kaplan course that guarantees you will pass on first try. My instructor had told me that my readiness score was likely to be passing on the first try, but I had not passed.

Thanks Vianey83.

After reading your post, I fell much better.

I'm from Spain and I started studying 2 months ago. My score is

QT1: 60. 69 second time

QT2: 52. Second time 64

QT3: 45. Second time: 74

QT4 today: 59.3

I was worried about whether they were very bad results. I still have 1 month and a half and I am studying every day, all I can. I know I have to keep studying, because I recognize that I have some weak areas.

I am studying with KAPLAN and I have studied most of the book but Risk Potential and pharma.

Reading your post has helped me a lot, as now I know that somebody has passed with similar score.

Thanks you very much.

Hi everyone,

I realized this is a completely redundant question that's been asked and asked on this site, but, I must ask - is the "good" pop up reliable? I realize a certain silliness in the question. It would mean so much to me if those of you reading this who were as worried as I am about having passed might weight in if you got the "good" pop up. I took my NCLEX today, finished at 3pm (Cali time) and here it is ...12:30am... and I can't sleep - not so much for reasons of anxiety so much as a sincere belief that I bombed. I had been scoring at a passing level according to Kaplan - pretty much solidly in the mid to high 60s, even a few low 70s on Kaplan exams, got 75 questions, but still somehow left feeling much more certain of my failure than success (it's uncanny how this test will mess with your confidence). At any rate, about 20 minutes ago, I followed the PVT directions and got the "good" pop up. I would really, really, really appreciate anyone who might offer some words of comfort that I have good reason to believe that I passed, in light of this (of all things) pop up.

BTW - really not trying to sounds like a drama queen over this. With every ounce of my being, I left feeling as though I failed the exam.

Thank you.
