Hi Everyone, I was just curious as to what, how everyone else was doing in their kaplan, saunders or whichever nclex practice scores and uh the result of your nclex exam. Most of the posts I found were ah a few years old. Also good luck everyone who has still to take the exam. Please share or comment on the following:

- Kaplan QT 1-7 scores

- Kaplan Qbank average

- Kaplan Diagnostic Test

- Kaplan Readiness Test

- Total practice questions completed

- How long did you prepare

- Questions per day

- Books used

- iPhone Apps

- NCLEX result and number of questions asked of you.

- Comments / Suggestions

Thankies!!

Hi everyone,

I realized this is a completely redundant question that's been asked and asked on this site, but, I must ask - is the "good" pop up reliable? I realize a certain silliness in the question. It would mean so much to me if those of you reading this who were as worried as I am about having passed might weight in if you got the "good" pop up. I took my NCLEX today, finished at 3pm (Cali time) and here it is ...12:30am... and I can't sleep - not so much for reasons of anxiety so much as a sincere belief that I bombed. I had been scoring at a passing level according to Kaplan - pretty much solidly in the mid to high 60s, even a few low 70s on Kaplan exams, got 75 questions, but still somehow left feeling much more certain of my failure than success (it's uncanny how this test will mess with your confidence). At any rate, about 20 minutes ago, I followed the PVT directions and got the "good" pop up. I would really, really, really appreciate anyone who might offer some words of comfort that I have good reason to believe that I passed, in light of this (of all things) pop up.

BTW - really not trying to sounds like a drama queen over this. With every ounce of my being, I left feeling as though I failed the exam.

Thank you.

How about you go celebrate?!

Everyone who got the good pop up in here are now officially Registered (or Practical) Nurses :)

Specializes in ICU / PCU / Telemetry / Oncology.

When's your celebratory party, drama queen? :D You're now a nurse, live with it!

You guys made, made, made my morning! Thank you!! I haven't heard (or read) from anyone on these boards that got the pop up only later to find out that they didn't pass. So, I'm taking comfort in that.

I realize that it's not official, but with as badly as I was feeling yesterday, I'm taking the pop up as a good sign ... and I'm starting to let myself feel relieved. Thanks everyone - you're wonderful!

58 hours out.

Scores: QT1: 67, QT2: 69, QT3: 54, QT4: 64, QT5: 69, QT6: 60, QT7: 63, QB average : 64

I'm feeling ok content wise. I don't know everything I come across, but I am getting better at stopping and thinking about what the question is asking and falling back to the test taking strategies (they don't always help but they give me a fighting chance when my knowledge base falls a bit short).

QT7 was a beast. I know you aren't supposed to break it up but I ended up having to because I got sick halfway through. I think I'm in OK shape. Any words of wisdom?

Youre definitely ready. From the looks of your scores, you got this!

Now go tackle the NCLEX beast!

(Oh and FYI, I rarely used the decision tree or any of the other test taking strategies. I felt that it was too late to start changing the way I test and Im glad I didnt spend time trying to figure out the decision tree because it didnt apply to any of the questions on the actual NCLEX)

I just finished the practice test in the back of the Kaplan book and got a 70% overall. It took me about two days to complete. I realized when I was going back over the rationales, I had quite a few where I either read the question wrong, changed my answer or didn't go with my first thought. I take the NCLEX tomorrow, so I'm just hoping that I have prepared enough. Today I plan on going over the study guide and lab values. Didn't really have time to study meds so I am praying for few of them. Ugh, I hate this...

Oluchika all the best for the exam!!! In terms of medications they usually ask for the side effects and the usage of it. Study the classifications and their common site of side effects. I took my nclex last week and I passed it( it took me so much prayer and faith)

I have a table of common drug classifications and their side effects i can send it through email i you like. I just dont know if i can attached anything here.

All the best you can do it!!!!

I don't use it full out. I use it selectively. I always use step 1 (identify the topic of the question) and then I go straight to the relevant step. The step I would say I've used most often is ABC which is a big help because while I learned it in school I always had trouble applying it. And there are definitely times when it isn't useful at all and I just have to eliminate the things I know aren't correct and guess between the remaining questions.

Hi guys! I think im gonna have a panick attack.. 8 more days for me. I just hope my anxiety doesn't get worst as the days goes by. My QT 7 was 62% and readiness is 68%.. any advice?

good scores ,what are you waiting for. i took my nclex last week.265 q and i passed(second time unfurtunally the first one didn't use kaplan, just did questions from a pearson book and saunders). i got the "good pop up" as soons as get home.diagnostic 61%;readiness 57%,i did it before the question bank as soon i finished my kaplan class.then i did question bank 62% average scores from 48 to 70%.qt1 64%,qt2 63% qt3 52 % qt 4 57% qt 55% qt 6 61% qt 7 59%.on qt6 and qt 7 according to kaplan if you score close to 60 or higher you have 90 % chance to pass.the thing here ,is to pass the fricking test,75,80,or 200 quetions just pass the thing.

now; a lot of people passed in 75 or little more, i have jobs ,kids, family ect.....but any way i passed.so don't be descouraged but neither underestimate the test like i did the first time, because i was a and b in nursing school and my time of study was limited.

one good advice as soon as you cross that door; is you and the test nothing else on mind ,deep breath and go forward.you can get breaks and go to restroom ,very important, take it and you can eat a snack outside on that break.very importan issue if time is extended more than you expected .i know, nobody wants the dam 265 quest but you never know.pass it is the deal.

i sudied 3 weeks after the class 6 to 7 hrs a day just kaplan.this time i had more time to prepare my self.

it is always good to know content the more content more chances to score higher in kplan questions.the branch is a perfect good strategy apply that thing to every question if possible.

for those that make it to the 265; if the last question is a higher order question you'll pass anyway.hopefully nobody have to go through that torture.

and yes the pvt works perfect.

good luck be positive.always pray and keep the faith:loveya:
