Anybody here taking the exam on the first week of June?

thanks lawrence!

so when i register to pearson, i need to pay the $200 fee upon creating an account. then be able to view the calendar/scheduler.

but u said i can only view one calendar/scheduler of a testing site per account. does that mean, if choose hk then be able to view their shcedule and if none goes within the validity of my att then i wont be able to check other testing site's available date (ex. saipan)? is that right?

what happen after i register? choose a testing site? then be able to view their calendar?

pls enlighten me with this. thanks in advance! :)

yes, you can only view just one testing site at a time so if you want to see other slots for another testing site you must phone-in and say you are switching to another one but also the operator on the line can say the current slots available for the testing site you are interested so you can still choose to switch or to hold on your current testing site.

there are no fees for switching testing sites and re-scheduling of appointment dates but you do have to call them to switch and i am not sure if they still provide the toll-free #s.

you can switch back and forth as much as you can or re-sched as much as you can (even in a day) so long that it is not w/in 24 hours of the appointment date, otherwise it is considered final.

i came across this idea. (if i am right)

if i choose hk and i did not get a slot for me. then i want to change my testing site, for example, saipan or taiwan, i should call pearson to switch my testing site from hk to saipan or taiwan?? is this the time i can only view the calendar/scheduler of saipan or taiwan??

yes. i suggest you go for hk initially and be vigilant in looking for opening of slots. at first, it may seem full for up to 2-4 months but everyday (and sometimes several times in a day) those slots open and closes but mostly w/in the 2-5 week range close to the appointment date as those who really don't have the intention to go through w/ their appointment and just wanted a slot re-sched or cancel at that range.

good luck. you'll get a slot in hk eventually as long as you are vigilant and patient enough.

got it! thanks lawrence! :nuke:

Loryn :)

hellooooo....

have you registered to pearson vue or not yet?? im planning to take end of july but i did not registered yet coz im afraid that if i will do it this time, it will expire so soon... they say the validity of it is 3 months only? is it true?

applied in California BON which took them 6 mo. before I got my ATT which is valid for 1 year. some States usually give at least 3 mo. only

There is no application per se for the NCLEX exam. You are to pick a US State where you want to be licensed and just comply with their requirements. The US State BON will then give you eligibility to sit for the NCLEX exam after complying with their own set of requirements and they differ from one State BON to another.

Each State BON or BRN has their own website. You can refer to our stickies in the Phil. and Int'l forum for those websites and I suggest reading the 'Primer' sticky in the Int'l forum.

NCLEX can already be taken in Makati, so you don't have to take it in HK.

*Pls. refer to this sticky for initial reading: https://allnurses.com/forums/f235/all-pinoy-rns-pls-read-150908.html

Again, not sure why you took a trip there to write the exam, there is no reasont to since it is offered right in Makati.

Glad to hear that you passed the exam.

Then that is something that you wished to do, but I want others to understand that there is no reason to actually go there to sit for the exam as it is offered right in your country now. Not all may be aware of that.
