I don't know if it's changed over the years, but 18 years ago the review courses were 5 days.

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: :balloons: My review was for 2 days. It helped a little because the reviewer hit on some of the questions that were on the test. I also got a few good study pointers from her that have helped with RN school. You can do a search and find so many different sites, and they can be realitively inexpensive. Good Luck!

I was fortunate many years ago to take the first NCLEX test given. I went to a review for 5 days in Atlanta that was wonderful but I can't remember the name of the company that sponsored it..maybe AJN. I don't think I would have done as well on the exam if I hadn't gone to this review. Others that I went to school with took another review course but alot of them did not pass the test at least the first time. Reviews are great just

carefully check them out and make sure they are back by accredited organizations to make sure you are getting exactly what you need..they may cost more but you get what you pay for.

I reccomend the Saunders NCLEX review series. It is suggested that you started studing four to five months before you take your test. I went to a review seminar and they suggest answering 4-6,000 questions before you sit for the boards. That is about 100-150 questions a day. If you do that, you should be very well prepared.

Personally, I had an excellent program. I bought my review book in my second semester of Nursing courses. The review book helped me do better on my tests in class, and greatly expanded my knowledge base.

I took my boards and passed on the first try.

I, also took the first NCLEX. and did a 5 day review in Atlanta. It was exactly what I needed at the time, and worked for me too.

In the Philippines, I attended a live review---about a month was spent for laboratory usage/work & about two months for live lectures. But I think that reviewing Saunders is still the best option personally. Ironically, our lecturer also said that she passed the NCLEX by doing self-review too!

welcome Pearl Jam. I hope you find many answers to your question here. I'm new also and I am getting lots of info. I cant wait until I pass my test and then I too can give some helpful advise to someone. And speaking of NCLEX review class, is there one in or near Capitol Heights, Maryland?
