  1. Sorry RNinJune2007. That part of class thru me too but I always tried to do one part at a time. I think that stressgal has the best examples to go by but I do understand you when you say that's all good until you have to do it yourself. Try to get the first part before you start thinking about the second part. Just break it down a little at a time.........Good Luck!
  2. jo0kgal,I know just how you feel. I felt that way my first time and my second time. Heck, I'm still feeling that way and scared to death to even pay to take it a third time. So I'm know I will be like Leslerz19. My family keeps telling me to go take it again but I'm so afraid of failure. I even think maybe I have wasted my time going to nursing school. Why can't I just get over this last hurdle??? Anyway I hope that you (jo0kgal and Leslerz19) have passed. You know after all I went thru in school I dont see why I need to pass this darn test to get a license. But I will try again. I just have to get up the nerves.
  3. roll backpacks are the best! Lots of pens, have backups for the backups. a mini recorder, high lighters, lots of extra folders to keep things in at home. A file cabinet works great. And one thing nobody has said, a new iron just for ironing uniforms. Nothing can be more fustrating than getting ironing your pants the morning of clinicals and your iron drops rusty water on your pants and leave a stain. And you know you cant wear those.
  4. My advice on see thru whites is: Dont wear any underwear with a print or color. I wore white underwear. We had to wear this awful blue top with a sleeveless blue t-shirt under it, which came in handy when you were busy with a patient and your shirt popped unbutton. I found that Oxyclean with Bleach did wonders on the stains. Good luck in school, just take it one day at a time.
  5. welcome Pearl Jam. I hope you find many answers to your question here. I'm new also and I am getting lots of info. I cant wait until I pass my test and then I too can give some helpful advise to someone. And speaking of NCLEX review class, is there one in or near Capitol Heights, Maryland?
  6. thank you ocb dave ocb
  7. Thank you Recent 2005 Grad. Your post is just what I needed to read. I am going to start saying that myself. I'm going to do this and I know the only way is with God on my side. Your post has just lifted my spirit so much. Thank you and good-luck or I'll say God-luck!!!
  8. I know how you feel, I have failed my test twice and I'm afraid to take it again. But there has to be something or someone who can help us. I'm really scared that I may never pass it and I am so ready to be a nurse. I have it in me, I just cant get it out on paper. Anyway let's keep trying!
  9. Thank you Loryisanurse. I'm trying to keep my head up. I'll keep trying untill I get it!! Thanks so much for replying
  10. you can request an appl. from MBON they will send it to you in IL. its a fee of $75.00 and you can also fill out your paperwork for the nclex and put MD for the state that you wish to get license. Do you know what part of Md you will be moving too? That will help in where you want to go do your testing
  11. I remember my OR visit. We only got to do one day. I wish we could have gotten more time. I loved it. I got to see or shall I say I was in the room for a heart bypass surgery. I didnt get to see much of anything because of the sterile field but I still thought it was pretty cool just to be in there.
  12. Has anyone taken the nclex more than two times? I'm very disappointed that I have to face this test again. Can anyone give me some encouraging news?
