Published

I feel good about it I mean I still have SOME doubts but I think I passed!! I got 75 questions and was out of there in an hour. I got NO math problems, lots of pharm and lots of prioroity (who would you see first) I should know by Sat if I passed or not but would you all keep me in your thoughts so that hopefully I will be a RN!! Thanks!:balloons:

I was feeling good after the test, but now reality is setting in and I feel very nervous also TEX. The majority of my test was prioritization and meds: no math questions, peds or OB. I did have 3-4 "select all that apply". Also, we should keep in mind that some of the questions are trial questions and don't can't against you. (I think it's about 10, but I'm certain.)

I have been studying day in and day out since I graduated nursing school. I was originally scheduled to test June 1st but I chickened out and rescheduled for Wed. June 6th. I have heard so many people come out of that test saying they failed but when they got the results passed the test. Good luck to all of you.

Congratulations to all of you!!!! It's so encouraging to read of how well you are all doing on NCLEX. I graduated May 10th from a BSN program at age 52, after several major life set-backs... and 30 years after my first BS degree in Biology. I attended a Hurst Review course following graduation, but then went straight to my mother's side and provided 'round the clock nursing care as she went from the hospital to hospice care at home with metastatic cancer. She passed away yesterday morning and the funeral is tomorrow. I'm scheduled to take NCLEX on July 3rd, but also have an 81 year old father with age-related dementia to help get settled in the coming weeks, so my preparation time hasn't been what I had hoped it would be. I graduated with honors and did well on all of the ERI practice tests during school, but I already feel like I've forgotten everything I learned in nursing school! Hopefully, I'll have time to return to my practice questions and review books in the next few days. Meanwhile.... I'm so glad to hear so many of you doing so well! We sure need good RNs. God bless the rest of you who are preparing!

HI everyone!!!! I also took my test today 5-31-07 in Orlando Florida. I had like 77 or 78 questions there were a lot of Meds :o a bunch of priority questions, 1 calculation, several check all that apply, and several teaching questions. I am sick to my stomach literally. I really felt horrible comming out. I really felt like I didn't know the concrete answer. Ohhhhhh please results,,,,,,results. Will I get my results by this weekend?

Congrats to both of you who already found out you Passed!! I wont know until tommorrow morning and I'm DYING!!

Well, I'm pretty sure I failed......

Here in AZ the board usually posts your license # 24 hours after you take the test. I have been checking pretty much every hours since I got up at 7am and there is still nothing. I have already had other people from my class email me and tell me how sorry they are I failed.

This goes to show that you can graduate with honors from nursing school and still fail the NCLEX. I had a 3.5 when I graduated, every ERI test I took came back with flying colors. All 3 RN Assessments (which according to ASU is 95% predictable of whether or not you will pass) all came back with passing numbers, and I still failed.

At this point I don't really know what to do to prepare better next time, it was not test anxiety, I was fine going in to the test. If I took reviews and they all said I was ready how is taking more review going to help me? I am going to try Suzanne's test plan and see if that helps. I still have a glimmer of hope that the girl who updates the records just isn't in today, or maybe there are a lot of people who took the test and it will take a little longer.

I have promised everyone that I will not officially concede defeat until Pearson posts my result but as of right it doesn't look good.

What sucks the most is that I had 75 questions which means if I did fail I realllllllyyyyyyy failed and I honestly didn't think I was that incompetent.

MissKitty,

You are NOT incompetent!! You are very smart and it will happen for u.

MissKitty, I'm going through the same thing. I took the test on Tuesday and still there is no answer. Mississippi doesn't do the quick results. I'm going out of my mind. I too had only 75 questions. So if I failed, I bombed it. Do they know what they are doing to us? This isn't looking good.

MissKitty and cindib:

I felt the exact same way you guys did yesterday. Do not give up hope until you get your results!!

MissKitty: did you apply for temp license?? Does your state board of nursing have your temp license listed as active? (In Alabama - once you take NCLEX and pass or fail - your temp license is listed as null and void)

Yesterday I was sick to the point of vomiting-- I called one of my instructors and she made me feel a little better. This is what she told me and what I hung onto until my results were posted this morning.

From Instructor: "I have been teaching over 13 years- never once in those 13 years have I had one student to have only 75 questions who failed!"

I know I may be flamed for posting this about the number of questions "thing" --doesnt mean anything ...etc.. Anyway -just wanted to share with you guys --what made me feel a little better.

Keep the faith!!!
