Most times someone failed NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi. I posted a similar thread in the General discussion forum. My sister has failed the NCLEX 4 times. She is absolutley devastated and has convinced herself she will never pass the exam. To provide a short history, we both went to the same school, and did very well. I failed once and just became and RN on Monday. My sister took her test the same day as me, only she failed. We spent countless hours studying and took the Kaplan prep course. I think it would help her feel better if she knew there were other people who have failed multiple times. If ayone has any comments or suggestions, I would appreciate hearing them. Thanks.

I replied in your other post, but I just wanted to tell you that we've seen people fail far more than four times, so she isn't alone!

Hi erica, just so that you know i have failed it twice. I did not think at any time i would fail it a second time but i did. Dont give up, i believe everything happens for a reason. For me this is the first time this ever happened to me. I passed my nursing school with no difficulty too. Just to let you know you are not alone. Try to get your results and see the areas you are failing most and then put your mind to studying again and i believe you will make it. :monkeydance:

I've seen people in this forum who passed after 6 times.

I have failed the first time and it was because of anxiety, tell her to hang in there, and whatever it takes, od not give up.

I feel sorry for your sister but I think your sister needs sometime to relax first and know her weakness. I believe they give results to those who failed and telling them their weaknesses. lastly, never give hope, faith and prayers. Always think positive and tell yourself that you will passed,it really helps and it boost your moral. Forget about the past you failed, there's a new window that will open next time around. Goodluck to her.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Sorry for your sister but congrats to you on passing. Get her to join the site and Suzanne's programme will probably help her. all info can be found in the stickies

Tell your sister that Im right there with her. Join Suzannes plan and have faith! Keep people around you who are positive and supportive !

Is it true that states like California has higher standards ("more theoretical") in determining whether you pass it or not compared to other states? That's what i heard.but i think it doesn't work that way since nclex is a CAT.any comments pls. thank you.
