July 2009 NCLEX Support Group

Nursing Students NCLEX

I didn't see a July 09 support group thread up, so I thought I'd get it started.

I'm taking the NCLEX-RN July 3rd for the first (and hopefully only) time. I figured I'd get it done before the holiday weekend so I could at least enjoy some of the time off instead of spending the holiday chained to textbooks...as I've done for the last two years.

Good luck to all of us in July!

Took the NCLEX tihis morning and got 75 questions! Hope that is a good sign! I also tried the Pearson Vue trick and got the pop up...............hope that means positive signs!!!! :D

Taking the nclex at the end of july. This is my second time taking it so nervous. please pray for me.

Javon,

I will pray for you and everyone else who is taking it. Good Luck

I took mine yesterday....it shut off at 85 questions and I wanted to cry...it was SO hard, i had so many SATA's, a ton of priority, and a lot of teaching, and not ONE calculation....I tried the trick and got the pop up...PLEASE GOD let it be true...so glad this support is here or I would be going crraazy :)

Hang in there , try to keep it together for 48 hours.

I know that's better said then done. I took mine on the 3rd of july and at first I was going crazy then I took myself to a movie and the beach the next day and tried to relax and wait. so try to keep busy.

i passed.....!!!! i took the exam on july 6th (monday) with 265 questions and 5 hours long. i had a ton of sata, 6 drug calc, lots of priority and infection control. i tried the pearson trick and it won't let me re-register!!! yippee......i also checked the florida test website and it says in bold letters...pass.......

i'm so excited...i thought for sure i had failed because i kept getting the same questions but worded a different way.

god truly answers prayers!

for those of you who live in florida, you can use this website to find out your results without having to pay the quick results fee! http://ww2.doh.state.fl.us/onlinetestnet/default.aspx

Congrats star81 and NSchoolAgain! Best wishes to those who have recently taken the NCLEX or about to take the NCLEX during this week!

ENSKat, are you enlisting? I currently work across the street from Bethesda Naval. I hope you are prepared for all of the traffic in this area.

Elizabeth C, I commissioned in to the Navy as an officer and I'll be working at the Naval hospital. I'd like to think I'm used to traffic, being familiar with Austin, Dallas and Houston traffic....but I have a very bad feeling that nothing has prepared me for the D.C. area.

So what's across the street from the Naval hospital? I've never been to Maryland.

Something I read over today on the little pamphlet they gave me after my test.... 85% of test takers pass the NCLEX the first time!!

....but I have a very bad feeling that nothing has prepared me for the D.C. area.

The Washington, D.C. area is ranked high as having one of the worst traffic in the nation (think in the top three). I lived in that area for about 13 years. The traffic kept getting worst each year. So, beware. However, if you are able to take the Metro subway system, that will cut down on traffic frustrations and costs relating to gas and wear/tear on your vehicle.

Thanks!! I report to ODS this Saturday, 11JULY. It's all happening so fast. Today the movers came to box up my house, tomorrow they come and haul everything away, and I leave Wednesday morning (I'm driving to Rhode Island from Texas). I'll be stationed in Bethesda. What about you and when do you report?

Good luck to you and all of your future endeavors!

IF and when all goes well with the NCLEX on JULY 31st (wish me luck) , I report to OIS August 16- Sept 18th. I know you have to be excited because I am. I will be stationed in Portsmouth, VA. Did you "dress up" when you got commissioned? I get commissioned in August, but dont know what to wear.
