Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
PLEASE SOME ADVICE, HELP, COMMENTS, CONCERS!!!!! MY FELLOW RNs, I took my NCLEX in FL at 8am and finished at about 10am. When I finally got home (About 11am) and tried the PVT. The " pop-up" I received said something about " Another registration open" or something like that. What does this mean?? Did I wait too soon after my test to use the PVT? Im too nervous to try the trick again!!!!

Oh okay thanks! I wont have the option of wearing uniform. I didnt do the Nurse Candidiate Program. I went the Direct Accession route. Maybe when you graduate from OIS you can give me some pointers and advice! That would be helpful!

ENSKat Thanks!! I report to ODS this Saturday, 11JULY. It's all happening so fast. Today the movers came to box up my house, tomorrow they come and haul everything away, and I leave Wednesday morning (I'm driving to Rhode Island from Texas). I'll be stationed in Bethesda. What about you and when do you report? Good luck to you and all of your future endeavors! IF and when all goes well with the NCLEX on JULY 31st (wish me luck) , I report to OIS August 16- Sept 18th. I know you have to be excited because I am. I will be stationed in Portsmouth, VA. Did you "dress up" when you got commissioned? I get commissioned in August, but dont know what to wear.

I graduated 5/9/09 and took the NCLEX 7/2/09. I did the Kaplan review, which I highly recommend, and completed the exam in 75 questions. Now I had heard that finishing at 75 is usually a good sign, but when my screen turned blue at 75 I FREAKED out. I was sure I failed. I spent the next 48 hours agonizing over how I managed to screw this up. I had ample time to prepare, I was an above average student, AND I was accepted in to the Navy Nurse Corps which was counting on me to pass asap, but I truly, truly felt that I had failed. I remember at one point during the exam, when I had recieved about the 8th SATA question, clenching my fists and silently screaming "you have GOT to be KIDDING ME!" I was so sure I falied that I simply didn't have the heart to try the pearsonvue "trick" until just hours before my quick results were in. I felt a world of relief when I couldn't proceed to the credit card screen yet I still couldn't shake the worry that I had failed. Well, now I feel kind of silly for worrying so much because I PASSED! I'm typically pretty cool and calm under pressure but this experience darn near drove me to insanity. For the record, this forum and group was a lifesaver! I can't thank each and every one of you enough for sharing your stories. You guys truly helped me through the most miserable two days of my life. :heartbeat For everyone who is waiting to test or who are waiting for the results, you're in my prayers! EnsKat, CONGRATS ON PASSING!!! When will you be attending Navy OIS? I have been accepted also, but I have to take and pass my NCLEX also (July 31st)

Navy ODS Study Material
Hey DanznRn ( or any Navy Nurse), I noticed that you are a Navy Nurse, and have a wealth of knowledge about how everything works. I will be going to OIS in August, then stationed in Portsmouth in Sept and I just had a couple of questions for ya! 1. What is the general attire for a Navy Nurse? DO we report to work in uniforms? Assigned scrubs based on the unit we work on? 2. Have you ever been to the NMCP in Virginia? If so can you tell me anything about the hospital/ facilities? 3. How does the Nurse Internship Program work? Will I be assigned a preceptor?

Help! Navy Nurse Canidate Program!
I am in the process of applying to the Navy Nurse Corps. I graduate in May '09. but I have lots of questions! 1. How long will it take for me to actually know whether or not I get accepted into the Navy? ( I plan to have my application completed and submitted by November 2008) 2. Is OIS before or after I pass the NCLEX? 3.Do you know of anything that may disqualify me or hinder my acceptence? (G.P.A, swimming capabilities, medical issues etc)
