hey guys.

i really like this site-it has alot of cool, useful information. i'm glad to see so many people have passed, and those who have not have such great attitudes towards retaking it. i admire that. i have 3 days left until i take it and i seriously feel as though my stomach is one big knot. i'd hate to go into the test with the knowledge but also with anxiety. i'm sure i'll be nervous...maybe i need to try some relaxation techniques haha i'm curious as to what everyone did the day/night before your test. did you relax and hang out with buddies, catch an early movie and get lots of rest? did anyone actually study the night before, or the day of the test? i think my brain has been completely full with info...many times. i've really been reading kaplan's nclex-pn strategies for the practical nursing exam. has anyone read it, or was it of any help? ok sorry with all the questions...its my nerves talking! i've been a wreck for the past few days and i'm sure i'll be one for days after haha. well i wish everyone the best of luck with their tests, and congratulations to the ones who already passed. hopefully i'll be one of them in a few days. wish me luck! thanks!!

Good luck with your upcoming exam!!! The night before I did NO studying...i either knew it or i didn't at that point. No last minute studying is going to help, since the test really is unpredictable! Best of luck to you!!!

good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!:monkeydance:

Good luck!

The night before, I did no studying... It was the season premiere of House so, honestly, that took priority... lol. (I was really sick also, so I didn't even want to think about it.) The day of, I did casually look over a little flip book I have (RNNotes) and just chilled and tried to get everything together for my baby because it was Daddy's First Time to Babysit (which I think was scarier than the actual exam, lol). I ate a PowerBar or some equivalent- which I don't recommend because it was naaaaasty, but I do recommend eating some kind of protein.

Anyway, again GOOD LUCK!!

hi candice! i don't know if you remember me, but we had a few conversations a few weeks back just before my test, now it's your turn! i hope i was able to give you some useful information before that you can now use!

one thing i have said to my classmates who are beginning to take their exams (for some strange reason, i was the first person in my class to actually take it!):uhoh21: is to think of it in terms of a huge accomplishment to be eligible to even sit for the exam. you need to take a moment to not stressed out and allow yourself to look at how far you've come, be proud of all your hard work both during school and in your study time leading up to nclex. it can be very easy to loose sight of the big picture. take several deep breaths before you begin your exam (i can't tell you how incredibly helpful that was for me!)

the day/night before, i must admit that i glanced over a few things (labs mostly) but i didn't really study. i tried to take it easy, and i certainly didn't look at anything the day of the exam, since i was scheduled for 9am (which was a good thing, it gave me less time to think about it!)

good luck, and let us know how it goes!

this is the day! i leave in one hour to go to my testing site. i hate that my stomach is in knots. i'm not even that worried about the test right now, and i'm mentally ok, but physically wow....this test does take a toll on your bod. i feel like i could vomit, but hopefully i will not haha i just have that whole feeling of "i didn't study enough" or "i'm not ready"....anyway just wanted to say thanks for all the support and prayers and hopefully i'll come back with good results. have a great day!
