Hello guys,
sorry to tell you I failed NCLEX RN second attempt.. I felt more prepared than first time my scores were 60-70% I was getting lots of priority questions on the second attempt.. so I have access of HURST I will be reviewing the videos when I start studying for my third attempt ...
I was wondering about NCBSN program should I purchase 5 weeks? when I complete reviewing Hurst notes.. any tips? thoughts would be helpful for me.
Thank you guys!!!
LadyFree28 I see Kaplan Content Review bought its 40$ bought online but has good categories for pharmacology and everything you should know from contents, blood tranfusions.. so I'll do this first then I can do NCBSN (5wk), PDA again, and Lippinoct I have SATA I think I need to practice on SATA questions I am not very strong at it... Hope this time my plan will work and I am staying positive!
I used NCSBN and I found it be helpful. I recommend it because the questions are harder than the NCLEX IMO. I also recommend HURST, its an excellent source for content review and the practice tests are identical to the NCLEX. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing elsiver Adaptive Quizzing! This program will prepare you for the NCLEX. I believe that this helped me pass NCLEX. EAQ is an adaptive quizzing engine, powered by an algorithm, where practice questions for each are chosen for a student based on his/her performance on a previous quiz. Quizzes are generated by the adaptive engine by filtering on selected topics and prioritizing the questions based on user need of difficulty level, previous experience on quizzes and questions, and current mastery level. The goal for the student is to achieve mastery through practicing a topic. Mastery levels indicates how well you understand specific topics. Mastery levels clearly reveal which topics you have mastered and which topics you need to study further.
Within each chapter or topic, questions are available in three clearly defined, color-coded levels. Students progress from one level to the next after demonstrating competence in their current level.
Mastery level is only measured for the primary taxonomy (chapter or content area). As quizzes and assignments are completed, progress is continuously monitored. Mastery level increases as you have increasing success in topics and chapters'.
I promise you, this is the only program, IMO, that really demonstrates whether or not you know the information. If you stay on 1 level for too long, you will see that you dont know it. I strongly suggest you try this program. I literally stayed on level 1 for weeks...and to this day, I only mastered level 2. The questions are just like NCLEX!!!!!
So sorry you didn't succeed the second time but love that you have a positive attitude and are back to work on passing NCLEX #3!!! I test Thursday. Please say a prayer for me.
Hold off buying any more review materials. I have so many and I will share what I have with you. Email me, I messaged you with my email address. You are going to be a RN. It will happen!
dbrenda1510 I am trying to stay positive because I really want be an RN especially when you have many jobs offer because I have been working in the medical field since age 18 I am 27 now! I will send you prayers! I just messaged you private with my email I didn't receive no messages they keep telling me my inbox full but I have empty inbox :/
God be with you.. stay relaxed calm! Apply the strategy you learned because it does help.. take deep breath if there's any question you didn't know and review the herbal medication I got few! God bless!
I also failed the NCLEX multiple times. I can say before I went in I was confident. However, after I sat down for the test all of my confidence left. I began to question myself. I couldnt pinpoint anything that I had studied. It seems that my memory just left me. Then oneday I was on here and seen someone talking about this review. So i decided to try it. i did Kaplan, Hurst, NCSBN you name it I tried it. The name of the review was the remar review. it was simple and an awesome tool to use. The format was so good that I never wanted to put it down. Myself and another student that I met on here did it together. After my 45 days of waiting I applied for the NCLEX again. During this time I utilized the Remar Review for 4 weeks. That 5th week I rested. I took the test and it cut off at 86 questions. One thing was different this time, I had much more confidence in myself and it felt great. When I got to a question that I was unsure of. I closed my eyes and visualized the materials that I studied with the Remar Review. 48 hours later I did the quick results and to my surprise I PASSED. That was Last year. I am now in the double MSN program for Education and FNP. I have 2 classes left for Education and 4 remaining for my FNP. I said all that to say dont get discouraged, you have the right attitude to keep pressing forward. If you have not tried the Remar Review please do so. I recommended over 50 people to this review, and I can assure you 98% have passed. Good luck and God Bless you.
Hello, i used mainly (90%) ncsbn questions and 10% hurst videos and passed on my 2nd attempt. i dint get to go thru all the questions maybe 600 out of 1100. Everyone is different. Ncsbn worked for me. But what i liked is i felt they focused on some key things. The key things kept repeating in different questions.
I purchased the program when it was on sale for 80. I still have access for 36 months. I know that we do not know each other well, but maybe we could work it out to where I give you my access for a small fee or whatever. I am not sure. I do not use it anymore but I strongly recommend the program, it will help you pass NCLEX imo. https://evolve.elsevier.com/cs/product/9780323244954
