  1. Starting a new position in the ER from floor nursing. Ive been a tele nurse for 1.5 years, it would be 2 in Jan. Any and all advice is welcome. I miss you guys!
  2. Thank you for this post, I have apologized and apologized, requested the topic to be closed...and yet...were still focusing on the topic. sigh. I have got so much to learn.
  3. I am still reading. Thanks.
  4. I should have never made the post. I never mentioned anything about not providing care. I am a good nurse with a lot to learn but I wouldnt do my job! I was simply asking for others to help me understand the tx process with DNR. Next time...ill pick up a book...lol... thanks Newboy!
  5. this is a very good point. I hadnt thought about it this way. Thank you!
  6. It has taught me alot. I have never recvd so much negative feedback in my life...but this reminds me that I have so much to learn!!!!
  7. Love your post. Thank you!
  8. You are right!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
  9. What does OP mean? I keep seeing it and I have no idea what it means. Sorry. :-)
  10. Thanks for all of the comments!
  11. Thank you. I totally agree. Its crazy how everyone talks this "compassion" but have been very rude to me on this forum. Irony. Oh well. Thank you.
  12. I would like to THANK YOU all for sharing your personal experiences with working with DNR patients and how powerful that experience can be for a nurse. You all are right, I should put the same effort in caring for a full code as a DNR. DNR does not mean Do Not Care - it is just a different kind of care and I pray that I have more experiences with DNR patients!!! My attitude regarding this matter has changed and I am very appreciative of this forum.
  13. I am sorry. I did not mean to be any of the above.
  14. I have learned alot. And next time...Ill just provide safe and excellent care to ALL of my patients and their familes...and just keep my personal opinions about it to myself. Its not about me when I step foot into that hospital anyway! Thank you for your response. I HAVE LEARNED ALOT!!!
