Hey ya'all! I was just wondering if any of you out there have went to the boards for Navy Nurse Corps recently have heard anything?? Im pretty sure my packet went the end of March or beginning of April. I haven't heard anything and dont really feel like bugging my recruiter....again.... so I thought I would ask here first! Thanks in advance :)!!!

Do you know when the board date is? Regardless of when submitted..I'd try to pester to find the board date. Results from that point are very fast.

Yeah I am not sure of the exact date. My recruiter told me mid to late April we would know the results. So I probably have another week of waiting. I guess I will just hang in there...Thanks for your reply!

Dont worry about bugging your recruiter, that is their job, if you keep on them, when the results come out they will be sure to call you. I would call your recruiter weekly until you here. Good luck

They have a board meeting today. Your recruiter can look up on-line where your packet is in the process. Believe me I have bugged the heck out of mine. Also you want to bug him/her because if there is something else they need then you want to know sooner than later.

Thanks for the advice guys! I guess ill jump on the recruiter buggin train ;). I appreciate the encouragement...and good luck to you sassy. I have been reading your posts and it sounds like you have been through a lot in this process. Take care!

hey guys, my recruiter emailed me and said that I got selected for the Navy Nurse Corps!! The quota for the fiscal year has been met so I should plan on going to ODS on October but I am on the alternate list so there is a chance I could go after I graduate this May.

My question to you guys is, after I graduate on May, what should I expect? Am I going to receive a letter telling me I got selected for commission on OCtober or I have to wait until my recruiter call me and tell me what to do ? I want to make plans after my graduation like a month vacation but it is hard to make those plans if I don't know how everything will play out especially if I don't know the process involved.

cumberland40,

Congratulations!!!

I'm not sure the answer to your question after graduation so I will let someone else answer that.

My packet for the Army Nurse Candidate Program boarded last Wednesday, April 15th and I was wondering when I could expect to hear something back? Does anyone know? Thanks!

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get a Yes/No? My packet boarded Wednesday, April 15th.

Congratulations on getting accepted into the Navy Nurse Corps!

Hey Sassy! Thanks for the message but I am unable to write pm's...I do not have "pm privliges" something about not writing enough public posts. Anyway, I talked to my recruiter today and he told me I got a "yes" at the boards. So basically I am just waiting to graduate, pass the NCLEX and go from there. I dont graduate till June so I dont know when I will be going to OIS. He said it will depend on the budget. Worst case scenario...I would have to wait until the new FY starts. What about you??? You can PM me if you would like :)
