yes, i started my application process at the beginning of the year and I would encourage you to start as well. Talk to your recruiter again...its a long process and you will probably be still getting all of your packet together even after you graduate. Good luck, its a daunting amount of paperwork, but its worth it :)

Hey Sassy! Thanks for the message but I am unable to write pm's...I do not have "pm privliges" something about not writing enough public posts. Anyway, I talked to my recruiter today and he told me I got a "yes" at the boards. So basically I am just waiting to graduate, pass the NCLEX and go from there. I dont graduate till June so I dont know when I will be going to OIS. He said it will depend on the budget. Worst case scenario...I would have to wait until the new FY starts. What about you??? Yeah I am not sure of the exact date. My recruiter told me mid to late April we would know the results. So I probably have another week of waiting. I guess I will just hang in there...Thanks for your reply!

Hey ya'all! I was just wondering if any of you out there have went to the boards for Navy Nurse Corps recently have heard anything?? Im pretty sure my packet went the end of March or beginning of April. I haven't heard anything and dont really feel like bugging my recruiter....again.... so I thought I would ask here first! Thanks in advance :)!!!

The interview is fairly easy. From what I got from it, all they really wanted to know was who I am in general...very laid back! Good luck! How has the process been for you?

Hello all! I have been watching this forum for quite a while now and figured that it was my turn to ask a few questions.:wink2: I am going to be graduating with my BSN in June 09. I have always been interested in joining the armed forces and I am super excited about (possibly) getting into the Navy Nurse Corps. I have been working with my recruiter for the last month and I think I am almost ready to submit my packet. I have completed my interviews, physical, countless paperwork... For all of you that have been accepted/selected, I was just wondering how compettitive the selection process is?? Has anybody not been accepted and for what reason (if you dont mind sharing)? I have a 3.7 GPA, have wonderful references, but I just dont know how well this will help me. I am worried about being a new grad....will this make me less competitive at the selection board as opposed to an RN with experience? Any and all input or advice is greatly appreciated. I should be asking my recruiter these questions, but he is currently on a few days leave. So I find myself thinking about it constantly.... Thanks!
