Here's some info on Lenox Hill. http://www.lenoxhillhospital.org/nursing/index.jsp#detail5
Scroll to the bottom for pay rates/differentials/benefits, etc.
That's just the base salary for new grads... Plus additional $2/hour for night diff and 0.50/hr for BSN ... I know this because I was interviewed by LIJ but I accepted an RN position in another hospital... They offer the nicest benefits(LIJ) BUT....You see its not just the salary its the atmosphere! The problem with big corporations like them they tend to be so arrogant because they feel they are so powerful that they dont give importance to their applicants... They just call you with their nicest voice schedule an interview 1st,2nd interview and then on ur 3rd one you just learn that the manager your supposed to meet is on sick call without even informing you... Then you find a way to NOT waste ur time therefor you find someone to interview u... Only to feel that ur getting no where and you might as well ask the questions because they dont knw what they're going to ask... Why? Maybe because the nurse manager nw interviewing u is as young as ur child! I imagine why? Is it because the nurses' turnover rate is just so high... Anyway to make the long story short I never heard from the recruiter and she wont even dare to return my calls.. How unprofessional!!! They just wasted my time and effort not to mention the long trip to their all so majestic office in New hyde park! I'm sooo happy I didn't end up in that hospital... :chuckle

California here-depending on the location....Where I am situated (small city) I started at $25.60/hour (day shift)..we're under CNA (union) so every year for 3 years we get a 5% increase in our salary. I've been working at the same hospital for a year now and I make $28.96/hour. Sounds like I'm under paid especially here in CA, but at least I don't have to worry about the commute and traffic. Oh, and I'm also a new grad (no previous experience prior to starting my nursing career-RN). Now, I'm thinking of transferring to kaiser permanente (heard they have good benefits), does any of you know how much they start new grads?
