  1. Wow, we have the same concerns with our OR aides and I would like to try and buy that book. Thank you for the suggestion.
  2. Sorry, sent too soon... I think it is mainly knowledge and skills but no certification.
  3. CVOR is CardioVascular OR . ;-)
  4. As far as I know, there is no CVOR certification.

What reviewer did you use? I plan to take the cnor as well. Congrats!
  6. I wear klogz and its very comfortable for me. Its stain-resistant too. Just wipe it with the clorox wipes and its good as new!
  7. I, too agree, that you need to excuse yourself from any cement cases. You dont want to take risks at this time. Your manager will understand.

I have just applied for cnor exam. I will buy the 2010 aorn standards and recommendation book as advised by those who passed the exam. Thank you very much for sharing because my colleague is very hesitant to share what books to review. Good luck to you canesdukegirl!
  9. Hi! I would like to become a case manager. I have been a nurse for almost a decade with medical-surgical and OR experience. I have seen a case management training with California Medical Audit and it is a 3-day course for $625. I would like to know if it is worth it to attend the training and if it would be of great help for me to be considered as a good candidate for a case manager position despite my lack of cm exprience? Thank you very much and all the success to my fellow nurses!
  10. han3, have you found a job that is less strenuous? wishing you a health pregnancy and healthy baby!
  11. Hi! UoP does not require GRE and there is financial aid available such as stafford loans. The financial counselor of UoP assigned to you will assist you with the application every step of the way. When you enroll in UOP, you automatically have an academic counselor and financial counselor to assist you in attaining your degree. Believe me, they are very helpful. UOP is nationally recognized and the hospitals recognize the degree you will attain through that university. You can also see that on their website. Good luck to you! :nuke:
  12. Hello! I have just graduated from the MSN Nursing/healthcare education program this year from University of Phoenix. I am just wondering what MSN graduates are up to since the degree has been attained. I am currently working in the operating room as a staff nurse and I am hoping that in the next year or so, I would be in the nursing education department.
  13. I have been wanting to try Dansko clogs for the last 4 years and finally, I got one for myself this year. I have to agree with most of you that Dansko clogs have great arch support and prevents one from having back pains due to prolonged standing and walking/running. The only complaint I have is that, due I trip (sideways)sometimes with my Dansko and I am afraid that I might get a sprain from that. The shoes are kind of noisy but I am really comfortable with the shoes.
