  1. Work in ny and it is pretty similar
  2. you are right about LIJ. They pay very well but the other factors do drag the job down. The nurses at southside recently almost went on strike fighting for a retirement incentives cause there were none
  3. Yes, be very patient. Do you palpate for an artery prior to taking the blood pressure? That will give you a good area to place the bell. Also many people make a mistake and place the bell over the anterior crevace of the elbow. You do not want to do that because most of the time you will not have the bell completely on the skin especially when the patient moves. It also could be the stethoscope your using as well. If you have the cheap ones they are not the greatest for listening and make it difficult.
  4. If you need any help let me know I finish next year
  5. Impaired skin integrity or potential for, Ego integrity possiblity as any rash depending on the location will lead to possible anxiety concerning appearance and things to that nature
  6. Out of 90 students for my program, there is a total of 11 that I know of so far. I guess that is a lot considering I see plenty of programs with a guy to gal ration of 20:1. I am not complaining though
  7. Could not have said it better myself rag
  8. Agree with everyone else, definitely call the physician and monitor more closely as shock seems evident with the drop in BP, increase HR. I would not call it sepsis just yet, did not spike a fever.
  9. Need my cell phone so I can text when the lecture gets boring LOL
  10. I am on the Brentwood campus, will be done by May 2008, anything i can help you with let me know...
