My review log for NCLEX-RN exam.

Published

In one to two months I will be taking my exam, this thread is an online log to track my progress.I figure if I do it on my own, it will be most likely to FAIL. So Im here, taking all the risks. I know its hard to do it on my own, so I need some encouragements from everyone here (if possible).

So far, I gathered all the resources I need:

Books: LaCharity, Saunders, Kaplan and (to purchase) NCSBN online review.

Place; I mostly can focus on a not-too-noisy places, Library is one of my fave.

Lastly, to everyone who will be taking taking there exam this coming May or June,

I wish you all luck! :nurse:

In the end, our strong faith to ourselves and the Divine will make us all reach success!

Cheers!

Congratulations OhioITNurse and CourtneyH!!!

I am almost done with NCSBN's modules. I borrowed Saunders Comprehensive Review and some review cards (Lippincott, I think) to get some variety in my questions. NCSBN has a lot of questions too, but I have been focusing on content with their 20Q review at the end of the module. I was actually starting to feel good about NCLEX because I passed my Pharmacology quiz the first time, the only module with a quiz I didn't have to repeat. That high did not last very long, though, because I realized the next day I had obliviously scheduled my test for Friday the 13th. Ummm....what the #*%# was I thinking. Like I needed ANY more stress for that day! :uhoh3:

But I am going to roll with it because that is just a distractor, like extra information in a question, and I'm just going to focus on my goal and PASS THAT TEST! I also am planning to go camping that weekend so I can take a break from everything and relax. I think I've earned a little fresh open air and time by the campfire! Anyone else have a present planned for themselves?

:twocents: July 1st - July 4th: Work.

I've been having a hard time studying lately, Im getting back to yoga classes to revitalize my body.

(I just hate myself :argue:)

Reread and review all previous notes

*Ok.. this will be my final week before my NCLEX. I have at least 7 days left.

My plan for this week is to bombard myself with Qs. I've estimated the number of questions I can answer and I could get at least 2000 questions. I hope that will be enough. :nono: And yes, I'm not gonna give myself a rest day the day before my test. I was thinking I could have all the rest I can have after my exam. hehe :D Good Luck and God Bless everyone.!

I took NCLEX a week ago tomorrow. I used Saunder's CD (about 2000 questions from it), the Kaplan book (not class), the Lacharity book, a little bit of the NCSBN questions, and a few Pearson questions.

I passed with 75 questions in less than an hour.

Good luck to ya'll!

Wow! Great job! You're the fifth one who have passed the nclex from this thread! :) wohoo!

Congrats CrazierThanYou! And Goodluck Lantzar. You got this! :)My nclex review update: first of all its been 4 weeks and still no ATT! Its harder to finalize my review when there's no exact date. I called them 2 days ago but they said its still on process. They said it take 4-6weeks. I know for a fact the board of nursing already approved me.I recently enrolled at ncsbn for 3 weeks. I did my Pretest lastnight 150q I only got only 70% but I must admit after question 100 I was just really tired and sleepy I just keep answering questions with out thinking :D

AWESOME JOB!!! Congratulations!

My test is on Friday morning. Tonight is my last night to study. Tomorrow night I am going to walk to a neighborhood restaurant with my boyfriend for dinner, have a glass of wine, and watch a Redbox movie. I have to work during the day so I know when I get home at 6pm I will not be in a good state of mind to study. So I am going to get myself relaxed, calm, and collected.

Yesterday I returned one of my review books to the library and it really hit me that I was almost done studying. I was also really tired from working and had only eaten soup for lunch, and the combination made me really emotional for the rest of the night. I was unable to do much studying because I was either crying or numb. It wasn't like I was nervous, I was just deflated. I decided to stop beating myself up and go to bed, and today ended up being a good day of studying.

I originally thought that I should study like crazy, 12 hours a day, etc etc. But now I'm realizing how important it really is to take good care of your health, space out your studying, and believe in yourself. After yesterday's freak out I actually feel better about my skills and taking the test, and I'm answering questions better.

Good luck to everyone! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
