  1. thanks for the info! I saw a post at lenox hill hospital about an invite-only nursing event, i registered and hoping i cud get an invite.. if not, there's no harm i trying. thanks again..
  2. Hi perfection, Ive read a lot about the same day event/interview for hospitals, Im also a new RN with 1 year RN experience on Nursing Home, Im gonna try to go to these events can u share some tips on acing it. Especially the interview part. You can pm me here pls.. I dud really appreciate it.. thanks again
  3. I need some help! do u guys knows any nursing home here in New York who's hiring?? pm me. please. in the city, long island, or queens county.
  4. yes. i did. Because, my agency gives me 3 days of shift continuosly. and by 3rd day, im really dead tired.
  5. Im an agency RN, been in "probation for 1.5/3months" now. The facility offered as a good pay and a nice work envt. Even though it takes me 2hours to get there I still commit to it for the first month (I work FT, everyweekends btw). Now, its been 1.5 months and Im completely burnt out. I've been calling out sick/abdent for about 5-6shifts now. I dont even care if Im being written up or whatever. U cant even figure out who to address issues with because they keep changing staff all the time and nurses float everywhere. No stock /supplies. What an experience! This is my first job, and after this week. Im quitting. I wonder if u guys have any experience just like this?..
  6. Overwhelming but i get to learn a lot of stuff! Its been a month now since i started. 2more months, then i'll be finish with my probation at the agency.
  7. im a new RN, graduated with BSN 4year ago. I didnt want to pursue and take this path before but what i did was, i reflected in those year i've work hard for to pass my nursing course. to cut the long story short, u might need a step back and look at a different perspective. (hope that helps, again, in pretty new with nursing)
  8. Thanks everyone! I just figuref that d dialysis unit is being run by an outside company, ergo its not part of the nsg home staffing. I can probably check it out this week to know the info! and also, I finished my orientation so Imma start working in the nursing home for now, what can i say? experience is still experience.
  9. I know this had been ask too many times, but Im really interested in the Dialysis unit. Im having an orientation at a Nursing home as staff RN on a rehab unit and so far I was just a little overwhelmed with how the system works. Especially the amount of patients the have. Now, the nursing home has a dialysis unit that im interested at, but im a new grad (basically, graduated 4yrs ago with no experience, except when I was a MA at a UROLOGY office 3yrs ago), need some input on this.. Thanks everyone!
  10. Thanks!.. I know, I should've but anyway, I started the orientation today. It was overwhelming as Im only an agency nurse, we can only work part time. And the orientation is only 3 days. But Im still hoping for the best!.. Then we'll be doing probation for 3months then they get to hire us. Thanks again CapeCodMermaid for your reply.
  11. Hey everyone!, Im having an orientation at a nursing home in the bronx tomorrow.. Any tips for my first day? Im a New Grad/RN with no experience, but this is my chance. Anything wud help.. thanks!!!!
