In one to two months I will be taking my exam, this thread is an online log to track my progress.I figure if I do it on my own, it will be most likely to FAIL. So Im here, taking all the risks. I know its hard to do it on my own, so I need some encouragements from everyone here (if possible).
So far, I gathered all the resources I need:
Books: LaCharity, Saunders, Kaplan and (to purchase) NCSBN online review.
Place; I mostly can focus on a not-too-noisy places, Library is one of my fave.
Lastly, to everyone who will be taking taking there exam this coming May or June,
I wish you all luck!
In the end, our strong faith to ourselves and the Divine will make us all reach success!
Cheers!
Hi all, good to hear all you progress!,
My sched is pretty tight for the next few weeks so i wouldnt be able to skype u guys.
Plus, i have to finish the med surg in 2 weeks time so help me God. Then start with daily questions!!!
I would recommend NCSBN online review for everybody who's running out of time. Contents and questions are compressed and coordinated! Goodluck!
Hey marinoh, i dont know what edition was that, but its the one with the red cover![]()
Exam cram is a book that comes with cd.. A friend of mine recommended it
Hi bluegeirdwirl,
Thanks for the reply. I am just wondering because the one i got bought is the latest edition, and it has part 3 (PDA in complex health scenario) included, since you did not mention that in your post. That was the reason why I asked the question, as it would be nice if you look through the part 3, it's a case study format. Wish you the very best!!!!
P.S
Is the exam Cram the yellow and blue book by Wilda Rinehart (2011), just wanted to be sure bl4 I buy it at amazon. Thanks
Does it matter what version the Lacharity book is 2005 vs. 2010? I'd like to save $ if possible. TIA
Hi finalscore3b1g,
The 2011 is the latest edition and in the Preface, it says they have made changes to reflect focus on evidenced-based best practices. And new chapters, questions, and case studies have been added. I got the 2011, so I have no idea what was in the 2006 (first edition). Hope this helps. Good luck!!!

I have the 2005 edition (red), it worked fine for me. As long as I get to familiarize with the delegation type of questions, im okay. I have no idea about the 2nd ed. ;(
Why not try to buy a used 2nd edition maybe that'll save you a few bucks.
hey bluegerrdwirl,u recommend NCSBN oniline review ,i m also thinking to take about this review.what is procedure of this review?
IF, you have a shorter time of studying, it really works out fine. It is time limited so make sure u have internet all the time. It has 3/5/ and i think 7week course. I have the 5week one.
Its a bit incomplete unlike the other comprehensive reviews but they have nclex type of questions that u can practice.
