Can anyone recommend a good hand cream? With the constant washing of hands whilst on duty, my hands are getting red and almost to the point of bleeding across the knuckles.

I use oilatum.

It works a treat!

Thanks a million Zana2!

Anything natural, ie jurlique expensive but good.

and if you use 'true natural products' with aromatherapy its good for your nose too! chemical based products dry your skin out in the end cause they coat your skin, whereas natural products are compatible and actually replace the moisture lost with handwashing.

Cetaphil Moisturising lotion is good.

Keihls hand lotion very smooth

Nurses glove balm is natural and heals the hands. I love it! It leaves like a barrier that protects your from handwashing. I had the same problem and in a matter of 2 weeks my hands were completely healed...

I remember sampling that hemp hand cream at the body shop, it was brilliant. I really should go buy some myself.

"Helping Hands" from LUSH was actually designed specifically for nurses. I use that because I have terrible dry hand problems and it works a treat.

Are you able to get Neutrogena products 'over' there?

Their Fast Absorbing Hand Cream is wonderful - it really is fast absorbing and doesn't leave a greasy feeling.

Lanolin. We have co-workers over in post-partum who send us over some of the little tubes they hand out to the new mums.

You can buy Nurses Glove deep moisturizer balm online. I just ordered some through www.nursesglove.info, but it is also available in other nurses' sites. You should check out the site. It has some cool info about skin and chemical lotions. Good luck.
