Hi I signed up because I know that nurses are caring and wonderful human beings and a lot of people could not do what yall do everyday and you are much appreciated. My friend is a nursing student and she is on the presidents list with only 2 semesters to go and I am very proud of her. However she owes the school a certain amt of money each month and she is now 2 months behind with her payments and she has worked so hard. Does anyone know of any good resources for nursing students?

How about just taking out loans? If she is smart and confident that she will pass (which I doubt she won't), she could take it as a little borrowed money and pay it back when she makes money as an RN. In most cases, I want to avoid taking out loans and I understand why people do that. But she is close to passing and she has maintained good grades so that tells me she has the thinking skills and test-taking abilities of a nursing student to pass the classes. With that in mind, she is a very low-risk person when taking out loans because the return on the loans will be passing nursing school, right?

Agree with strawberry. I had to take out loans too. Sometimes it's the only option left.

Makes you want one of those student loans that aren't due to be paid back until after you graduate and presumably are making money with your brand new degree.
I suppose standing on a corner with a cardboard sign could work too. "Will assess for cash"
