MUSC ABSN Fall 2018

I am currently in the process of applying to Musc's Absn program for fall 2018! I was wondering if anyone else is applying and what you stats are/will be before the application is due!

Hey guys, I'm a RN at MUSC. Previous years people have contacted Shelly Drake, BSN Program Coordinator, for admission decisions. Her email is [email protected] and phone number [phone]. I can access the admission stats from work and there are 331 ABSN applicants for Fall 2018. It doesn't look like they have started accepting students yet. Good luck to everyone.

Hey guys just got to work. As of: Mar 7 2018, 04:30AM there are no pending applications, so it still doesn't appear that they have made any decisions. Also, MUSC spring break is next week. I wouldn't expect to hear anything for at least another 2 weeks at the earliest. Last year, DNP students didn't start receiving letters in the mail until March 28th, but I'm not sure about ABSN students. The chart should update again tomorrow morning and I will post another update before I leave work.

Yeah I hope they do, but with spring break coming up I'm not too optimistic. I applied back in October, so I have been anxiously awaiting a decision since then.

Hi guys! I work at MUSC so I just checked and the admissions committee met yesterday, looks like they've accepted 69 in state and 31 out of state so far. I think they still have more to update though. They told me that they will be putting letters in the mail next week. I work for the university and we don't take spring break if the students do so don't worry! We should hopefully receive them late next week. Good luck to everyone!

Is there any way to know sooner than to wait for snail mail? I'll be away from home next week and will probably die from sheer anticipation if I have to wait any longer. Maybe they'll update the application status page(?)

The admissions counselor said they can tell us over the phone as soon as they send out the letters. She told me to give them about a week from when they met, so I'm assuming next Wednesday! Someone can confirm before we all bombard them though

I just now checked my email and wanted to update ya'll.

I received an email from MUSC that I was admitted!!

The email says I should expect to receive an admissions package in the mail soon and must respond by April 13th.

It seems like this might just be the preliminary round, so don't despair if you don't hear from them today too! At least this means they've finally made some decisions!
