  1. I didn't. But I will try again.
  2. Isn't it 2pm already somewhere? LOL!!
  3. In the past, my understanding is that they sent out emails too.
  4. I can hardly wait! How can we make it till then?!
  5. Wow! Really? I'm making more than that now as an LPN. I've already been offered an RN position where I'm currently working. They'll credit me half of my 15 years as an LPN for experience. I'll start at $31/hour. I was interested in this program thinking I could start my RN career off right with excellent hands-on training in their Nurse Residency program...but I can't afford a pay cut.
  6. Guess there are 2 threads about Spring 2019. I'm waiting too...impatiently. LOL!
  7. Have they sent acceptance emails out?
  8. I got an email, did you? Mine was a, "We're sorry, not this semester...but please apply next semester...here's the deadline" letter. Hopefully yours was more positive. However, I'm not extremely shocked. Even though I do have 4 sciences, one of them (Chem, I believe), isn't required for this program. Physiology...which is...is still in progress as I'm taking it this semester. I'm guessing (hoping) that's my reason for not making the cut this semester, but I'm going to call on Monday to find out for sure.
  9. I just called and was told that they are still sending out emails. They will be done doing so by the end of today. If you don't receive one by the end of today, then you have not been accepted or put on the alternate list. (I have not yet received one.) If you are not accepted, you can call Monday for a review of your application to find out why your application was not accepted and if it can be improved for possible approval for a future semester.
  10. Any updates on your end? I know you said they update on Wednesday am.
  11. You'll find NICU at both St. Johns & St. Francis, but the bulk of peds in this city is at St. Francis where we have a St. Jude affiliate. St. Johns is currently offering $10K sign-on bonuses for RNs. Don't go to any major hospital in this city without a sign-on. You can get one if you just ask right now. Census has remained high, we have all remained short-handed, and agency nurses cost them much more than hiring core staff which they can guarantee for a number of years through the bonus. I have several friends who work at St. Johns now and love it. I worked there as a new nurse years ago (but had been a monitor tech there during nursing school as well) and was happy as well. Those I know at St. Francis are happy, but the bulk of those I know there are family who have been there for 20+ years. Seriously. Each hospital will have a slightly different culture. For what you're wanting, it sounds like St. Francis is probably your best bet.
  12. I'm an LPN & have been for 13 years. I hope that helps me overcome any other obstacles they may find (like me not currently being a resident of SC). However, a 1st degree isn't required for this program. I don't really think that will hurt you at all. Hopefully, we'll both know soon, though! Good luck!
