MUSC ABSN Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I am currently in the process of applying to Musc's Absn program for fall 2018! I was wondering if anyone else is applying and what you stats are/will be before the application is due!

Wow, they are taking their time. I heard back from the other school I applied to a week and a half after the application due date.

Previous years have received notice by about March 8th.

My understanding from those posts too, though, is that they can tell you over the phone the day after they've met. That means that if, for example, they're meeting on Friday that they should be able to tell us by phone on Monday.

I got the same message when I emailed them about letters going out in two weeks. I keep seeing people mention being able to call about the decision. Who would you call?

I'm pretty sure we just call the Admission's office.

Hey guys, I'm a RN at MUSC. Previous years people have contacted Shelly Drake, BSN Program Coordinator, for admission decisions. Her email is [email protected] and phone number (843) 792-6683. I can access the admission stats from work and there are 331 ABSN applicants for Fall 2018. It doesn't look like they have started accepting students yet. Good luck to everyone.

Thanks for the info!

Does anyone know how many will be accepted to the program and how many got in in the early admission process?

I know that previous classes have had between 60 & 80 accepted; but I don't know how many of those were from early admission vs. regular admission or if all of those were regular admission. I just heard those numbers thrown around, so to speak.

I'm hoping perhaps you could give us an update this afternoon or evening, davke17?

We appreciate the numbers thus far!

I checked the chart this morning while at work, and it was last updated today, March 2nd. Unfortunately, there were no changes, and it does not look like they have started accepting students yet. The chart only updates Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 5am, so it won't be updated again until early March 7th. I do work that night and will provide an update then. Last semester it appears they accepted around 125 ABSN students, I assume including both early and regular admissions. I applied for the DNP program, so I check it pretty frequently and am also eagerly awaiting a decision.

Has anyone heard anything yet? Or perhaps dared to call?

Does anyone know how they will inform us of the decision? Mail, email, phone call?
