MUSC ABSN Fall 2018

I am currently in the process of applying to Musc's Absn program for fall 2018! I was wondering if anyone else is applying and what you stats are/will be before the application is due!

Anyone wishing it could already be March? This is my number one choice and I am so nervous to hear back!

Me too!!

At least I know I got into the only other school I applied to. But I need to plan a visit to whichever schools I'm admitted to so I can figure out where I want to go. And I can't start planning these visits till I know where I'm accepted! I live all the way out in California and it's going to be a big move either way. :(

Will it just be you or do you have a family you're moving with, Karyo? (I'll be moving from out-of-state too should I be accepted.)

It would be me and my husband. Since the programs are accelerated, I don't think there will be time to work!

I'm working 2 jobs this semester while taking 3 classes and volunteering at 2 places, and that is stressful enough...!

They've updated my application status page!

I know it doesn't mean much, but it at least shows they're working on things and shows progress!

Hi all,

currently new to the allnurses forum but am glad to be able to bounce off ideas/thoughts with people in the same situation.

I have applied to about 5 schools and MUSC is definitely one of my top choices, but I'm curious about my chances of getting in. I've looked at previous threads and it looks like there's some sort of online "counter" where you can see the total application pool #, how many have been accepted, how many are in review, etc. Has anyone in this application cohort seen anything online that sounds like that?

I believe you have to be an employee of MUSC or have access to the library of MUSC in order to have access to that information. I'm in Oklahoma & I know at least one other person on this thread is out-of-state (in California).

Perhaps someone else is local?

No I haven't heard anything yet. I'm starting to get very anxious as March is approaching. Does anyone know when previous classes began to hear back?

I contacted the admissions person for the program and she told me the same that it says online... about 8wks after application deadline, so closer to March 12th we should hear back.

I just called and they told me the committee was meeting later this week and the letters should go out in about two weeks.
