Mount St. Mary's College LA - Accelerated BSN 2010

This is a new thread for anyone that has applied to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles for 2010 entry.

This is my second application for admission since I wasn't offered admission for Fall 2009. Did anyone hear anything back yet for Spring 2010? Is there an interview process? I have read conflicting information on this topic. I also applied to Samuel Merritt in the Bay Area (also turned down twice to 2 programs for Fall 2009 entry). They wont be sending out admission offers until February for March start dates!! Would love to hear from fellow nursing school hopefuls )

It was me who was on the wait list #12. I kept calling to the admission office, and whenever I called them I asked them what was my rank among the wait list. They didn't tell me from the first time, but later they told me that I was on #12.

Hi wish4msmc, not sure if I remember seeing you. I was scheduled for 10 am, but as you know they were running behind so I went in for the interview around 10:20am. I was wearing a salmon colored sweater and flowered long skirt. My interview was with the director of the program.

I volunteer at UCLA in Westwood and I saw lots of students from the current cohort at the hospital yesterday.

For those of you who have signed up, how is the Bioethics class going? I just signed up Thursday night.

Does anyone know anything about those hospital scholarships where the hospital pays half your tuition and you work for them after school is done? How many people get those scholarships and when do we hear about them?

Hey, I heard they were pretty competitive. At the nursing info session I remember that they mentioned three hospitals that offer the scholarship, Northridge, Kaiser and I can't remember the third one. I was looking older posts on this site and someone said that we aren't eligible to apply until our second semester.

Also at my info session someone gave me two websites to check out for scholarships. They are fastweb.com and scholarships.com. I haven't checked into either one because I was waiting to see what happened.
