Mount Sinai PSON ABSN Fall 2021

Starting the thread since I could only find Summer 2021z Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for their ABSN program starting Fall 2021? Where else did you apply? Share stats if comfortable, you know the drill! Thanks!

Has anyone received acceptance as of recently? I am getting really anxious and nervous. Please if you have, let us know. ?

I still haven’t received any emails/ acceptance letters at all yet either! And really for my sake I almost feel like emailing the PSON coordinator and ask what’s up but IDK if that makes me seem desperate LOL! Their admissions are rolling right? 
 

On a serious note perhaps give them some time, the Director of PSON told me the Fall cohort is more competitive than the Summer, so maybe they’re thoroughly taking time?

I was also going to email and ask if they at least send rejection letters instead of having people waiting but I ended up not doing so. I JUST WANNA KNOW!

Has anyone taken out a private student loan to pay for this program? If so, what lenders can we use?

just wait and see what happen. my friend actually just received her acceptance letter for the Summer cohort.

Remember not all accepted students will go forward with the admission process. keeping hope alive

I really think they are behind on sending acceptances for the fall (maybe it’s just wishful thinking). I plan on sending a letter of continued interest as soon as I’m done with pre-reqs, going to just wait and try to manage anxiety about it until then LOL.

Seriously though, there’s so many reasons why we haven’t heard back yet: they might not be sending many more acceptances until applications close mid May.. they might be waiting for the bulk of us to finish Spring semester and see our final grades for prereqs.. they’re still working on finishing Summer cohort and that clearly takes precedence since the sem is starting in a few weeks.. (Not that everyone uses fb, but) The fb group for Summer has 40 members while the one for Fall has 8, so statistically speaking, the bulk of acceptances couldn’t have been sent out yet. 

Hang in there, we’re going to be OK!!

You bring up such good and actual points to this, wow I feel so self absorbed when talking about them taking long. It’s probably a little hectic too, and yes I’ve heard too that the Summer designated students are NOW still receiving acceptances!

For me, I had originally applied for the Summer cohort on January 10th, and received my acceptance by February 24th, but I realized I couldn’t do the Summer cohort due to needing to retake a Nutrition course because they want a 3-credit, not a 2-credit which I took. So I had to decline the Summer and I reapplied for the Fall cohort on February 23rd! 
 

I really hope we do hear back soon, I’m so anxious and determined because I want to be with this program, I didn’t even go for NYU because Mount Sinai is strategically and the better program than the others! Good luck to all, we got this! Xoxo

To any current or former PSON students - is there a minimum grade you must earn in each course to stay in the program? Like you cannot get lower than a B- each course etc...?

I tried searching for this info on their site but I don't see anything about maintaining certain grades while IN the program. Only see grade info about prerequisites for admission.

Hi! I just took a look at their nursing manual page on their website and I see it! The minimum passing grade for all the courses including Patho and Pharmacology is C+. B is the minimum passing grade for Nursing 100.

You sent in application February 23rd and havebt heard back?! I mean theres still several months left so thats not so bad but I sent my application today and im literally not even going to think about it then! LOL
