Mount Sinai PSON ABSN Fall 2021

Starting the thread since I could only find Summer 2021z Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for their ABSN program starting Fall 2021? Where else did you apply? Share stats if comfortable, you know the drill! Thanks!

Hi all! Not sure if this will make everyone more or less anxious, but I’ve been in touch with someone in the enrollment office. He’d said that they hoped to send out decisions this week. I’m not sure if that’s based on my own application submission date (March 30 or close to that) since they are working on a rolling basis or if that’s when they hope to send out decisions for many on the class, but anyway, that’s the info I received. 
 

Based on conversations with him and on the deadline extension, it seems as though they are still focusing on filling the Summer cohort and responding to those applicants, so I hope that we will hear in the coming weeks, but I do not necessarily think it’s a negative if people have not heard back yet.

Thanks so much for this information! I actually applied to the Summer deadline and still haven’t heard back! Albeit some late transcripts and I submitted on the last day March 15th. Did they say of any specific dates they would be sending the last acceptances out?

Hi @jcnurse2b! They didn’t specify. So, if you’re part of Summer applicant pool and haven’t heard back, maybe they’re just running really behind!

Tuition varies by student, if you’re dorming, not dorming etc. Total should be around $56,000 if not dorming

Has anyone still not heard back yet? Do they send rejection letters?

Although pharm and path are not required, as a current PSON student I would advise that you take them both before the start of the program.

I have not heard back. Application verified the first week of April. They did email me about a pre-req in progress a few weeks ago. I can’t imagine they’ve released too many decisions if they’re still working on Summer? I am hopeful, I would really like to be apart of this program.

Same as @bananabread17 - I have not heard anything. My application was verified around the same time and also received an email inquiring about outstanding prerequisites that I would need to complete if accepted. Since then, nothing.

I’m going to take them beforehand. Did you take them through portage learning? Also are the classes hard ?

Taking them both is not advisable? Has anyone taken them both at PSON? What was it like?
