Hi all,
Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?
Thanks!
As @Alpha Lyrae said Please take pathophysiology and pharmacology before you come to the school! You’ll thank us later! I can’t stress this enough!
@SJBfuturenurse but I recall the people at the information session say that there are certain courses such as Pharm and patho that need to be taken at specific schools in order for it to transfer over to PSON
So my question is does anyone know if PSON accepts patho and pharm from Portage Learning (online course)?
@Jacksterty95 yes, but pharm and patho are not included they’re considered prerequisites and can be transferred in.. The classes you’re referring to that can’t be transferred are nursing classes. I’m currently in the program and I wish someone shared with me the information that I am sharing with you. If you’re still concerned about this information you can clarify with ---------------------. Good luck!

Oh and to allude what someone else said above, ----------------------- is a ONE WOMAN show so you may have to wait to hear back from here. She is SUPER nice and SUPER accommodating, but you just gotta be patient!!
Did I mention that you should all get Path and Pharm out of the way?

As current students, can you share your overall thoughts of the program? I applied back in September or October for the Summer program and was told we would hear back in 1-2 months. But months later we find out the Summer program is canceled and no one has gotten any decision. I think it’s very unusual a school would accept applications and fees for a program and then cancel it. The level of disorganization definitely has me worried. Do you find that the program itself is also disorganized? It sounds like there are some major issues with the Patho and Pharm classes as well. How are the actual nursing classes? Have prior cohorts been successful on NCLEX?
Was anyone able to submit their application on nursingcas without a bls certification? my document section isn't completed cus I dont have the certification yet but on the PSON website it says you need it before the start of the program not before submitting. Has anyone had this problem?

I think someone said submitting a letter stating it will be obtained prior to the start of the program should work for now

I just submitted recently so I haven't heard back yet, but between merging two cohorts and COVID, I suspect things might be up in the air longer than usual ? this is my first choice also
