Hi all,

Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?

Did anyone get an empty email from mount Sinai today? I received one that said PSON Program but was empty otherwise. Anyone else get this?

also, to answer the transcript question: I had to upload a PDF File of the transcript but you don’t send the transcript to the school. This is done through CAS nursing portal

I did not receive any email from Mount Sinai today. Lovelyliseey, thank you for answering my questions~ do u know if we submitted the application for summer, do we need to re-submit our application for fall since they cancel the summer program this year?

Nope! They are going to double the size of the program (summer applicants plus fall) so you will not need to resubmit ?

Hey guys do you know when are they announcing their decisions? I want to apply for the fall term as well if I don't get into the summer term, but I'm not sure when they will release their decisions

They canceled the summer term. If you already applied for the summer, you will automatically be considered for the fall. Therefore, I don't think you would reapply.

As for when they are releasing their decisions, that's the million dollar question. I have not been able to get a straight answer on that from admissions, which is really frustrating. Since they allowed people to spend their money on applying for the summer term, it seems the least they could do is provide a timely decision. At this point I have stopped waiting around because the process seems very disorganized. We could hear back today or months from now.

Please upload ALL documents to Nursingcas.

If not specifically indicated, label what the doc is under the misc. document section.

If I can give any advice it would be USE THE Summer TO TAKE EACH AND EVERY PREREQ + CO-REQ YOU CAN.

Do not leave Pharm or Patho on the table.

Portage learning + SUNY/CUNY Summer classes are incredible resources and it will make your life and workload 1000000% more manageable when you start.

Please, use the time you would otherwise be starting in the "Summer" and take care of these courses. They are the most dense and have given the most trouble for the cohorts.

Be kind to ---------------------. She is a 1 woman show virtually.

I will be online today and can take a few questions, DM if you like.

@NYCBelle Is path and pharmacy required courses to take before school starts? I took micro, chem, anp 1&2 already.

@lily41 as of Aug of 19’ pharmacology and pathophysiology are considered co-requisite courses meaning: while they may not be mandatory to have completed prior to the start of the program, you can complete them before you begin to lighten your workload.

And the program accepts pathophysiology from portage? I have already done pharm but if I can knock out an extra Coreq I will

Has anyone heard anything yet for the Summer applicants. I hope we hear something soon. I know the Summer cohort has a delayed start for fall but would still like to know soon because I have applied to other schools that starts in the Summer. Would prefer Mount Sinai because it is a much easier commute.
