Mount Sinai ABSN Fall 2019

Hey Everyone,

I thought I would start a page for the fall 2019 cohort Mount Sinai. Looking forward to hearing all your thoughts. I applied just recently. I’m waiting to hear back. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Class for Nutrition, You can also get a $20 discount too. so about $160 for the 3 credit course. I know Portage is quite expensive and I was looking for alternate options.

Thanks so much Mimi!! I’ll definitely look into it. Portage is like $600 for nutrition ? How long does it usually take to complete a course in straightliner? I’ll double check with Maria to make sure they accept the credits from straightliners..hopefully she’ll get back to be asap.

People usually finish it over the weekend. I took like 4 weeks to do it only bc it was Ramadan, and I was busy with festivities and such. I usually did 2hrs a day, from 1-3am. That’s it.

But I would say to read into reviews and such. And do lemme know if straighterline works for u! All the best.

Sounds great! Will definitely look into it esp because it's so inexpensive compared to Portage. Ramadan is just around the corner...good thing we get to observe it before the program:)

Got some more info about the program from Maria...

The hybrid nature of the ABSN program means that approximately 70% of the classes are on site and the remaining 30% of the class work is done online. In some courses, classes may be held every other week and the schedule varies from semester to semester and from student to student. For example, the cohort group beginning this week only has classes Monday through Wednesday this semester Next semester, they may have classes 6 days a week since there will be 2 clinical courses per semester after the first semester.

There are breaks between semesters, usually 1 or 2 weeks. There is also spring break during the spring semester. Going forward, the summer semester in 2020 will be reduced, allowing for more time off in August before the fall semester begins.

Hi everyone,

I will be attending the program this Fall as well. I was just wondering whether anyone knows around when we will have completed the program? Would it be end of next year or would it continue into 2021?

The last semester is the semester of Fall 2020

Hey guys!! Is anyone trying to reach out to Maria and hasn’t heard back yet? I paid my deposit and submitted my forms but I didn’t receive any updated status on that. Im getting a little worried...
