Make sure the one you choose includes IV drugs. I know Davis does, not sure about Mosby.

If you can get an electronic version you're ahead of the game because by the time a drug book is printed it's already out of date. Micromedix and Epocrates are electronic and free. On my Android phone I've also got a free OB wheel, calculators, and several other references I use in the ER.

Specializes in LTC, Psych, Hospice.

I prefer Davis

I also prefer Davis. I have it on my phone, use it daily.

Specializes in Peds, School Nurse, clinical instructor.

I agree with everyone else, I find Davis to be easier to read with the information I need to know.

But question: Your work doesn't provide a drug book for you? we have numerous drug books on our floor and any floor I have ever been on.

Davis...used it on my PDA. Many employers do not provide a drug book or stethescopes, etc. They are our professional tools.

That's just odd. We have drug books and other reference books on my floor. Plus, the ever handy Micromedex.

Davis. I like the way it's arranged.

Specializes in ICU.

Epocrates, Medscape and Davis on my phone. Work provide the BNF (British National Formulary) but it's handy to have your own.
