My husband keeps telling me that he really wants to name our next boy Scrappa! NO WAY! He doesn't find that weird at all!!! My son's name is Gage, which is becoming more common, but some people think it's really strange.

I graduated from high school with a set of twins. His name was "Greg". Her name was "Craig".

someone else in this thread mentioned a woman who named her baby......um, well, i can't say it here. but it's pronounced shi-tay-ed. and it's spelled "s-word" head.

i once met an EMT who transported a girl to the hospital, with that very same name.

such coincidence. two girls with the same made-up name?

One of my patients named her baby Lagaga... in honor of Lady Gaga....

but hey- I'm sure that same lady would think the person in the room next to her was insane for naming her baby "alice" her baby-her choice.

Aquasonia...she misread the bottle of gel for the cardio/EFM that said, "Aquasonic". She thought it was pretty.

This was from my best friend the teacher. She had a pupil named

"Shasta Blue Shesmy Dream Kitchen"

Shasta is a generic soda brand. Shasta Blue is her first name. Shesmy Dream is condensed for She's my dream.. and Kitchen was their real last name.

I know this thread is MEGA old but today i saw one that took the cake...Lovely Alize Champagne!! Alize is the name of a popular cognac or vodka type alcoholic beverage (it is NOT a champagne) It was popularized most recently by actress/comedian Mo'Nique. The drink is probably how she ended up with lilttle "Lovely"!!:lol2:

I once knew a teacher (he's since died) who said that "Alice" was the one name he never saw spelled the same way twice. Alyce, Aliss, Alys, Allice, etc.

That is so unusal...what part of the country is your cousin from...maybe cultural trend in that area. How did she come up with that name?
