More Strange Baby Names

Cheerfuldoer....their other daughters name is Rumer, I forget where its from..probably a book. I think Scout is from 'To Kill A Mockingbird'

Their last daughters name is Tallulah..I like that, but would'nt name my daughter that.

My baby girl's name is.........Alana Skye, I love it sooo much!

Ok.. now for Mo's 2 cents. I have a daughter, name not unusual but is Jennifer Elizabth Nichole Richards. I never thought about things like s.s card, driver license, ect.... We call her Jen. Go Figure... Humm... :)

I also like Gray, it reminds me of the little boy named Grayer in 'The Nanny Diaries' book.

My paternal grandparents names are Marvis and Ballard.

My dad's name is Barry, and he told me that when he was in his 20's he wanted to change it to Barrold!

I work with a Jojie, whose twin sisters' name is Jiji.

We just had a babe in the unit named Prescious Raine Strawberry. We also had a little gal named Snow last winter. Her middle name escapes me, but it was unusual too.

Lot's of people from the south use Last names as first names, Meredith, Randall, Scott, Bailey. It was originally done to show people that you came of good family.

My friend's name is Pat, she married a man whose last name is Boon. We had a Dusty Rhoades as a patient one time. My favorite local story is of a family named Bean who named all their kids after types of beans: Pinto, Navy, Boston...

My g'grandfather was British and the 13th of 17 children. They named him Roger Roland Algernon Chichester Rogers (Roger Rogers). How could they still find that many names after 13 kids?

Strangest names I've seen: Abcde (pronounced "absidy") for a girl. With mom's second baby we asked her if she was going to name her fghij.

Wolfgang Casket for a baby boy....I think the social worker talked this mother out of that one before discharge though.

Freedom V-Ray for a baby girl...right after Sept 11.

labor with twins for an extended amount of time..on mag..on clear liquids..ate alot of jello.

named the twins Lemonjello and orangejello.

Pronounced with emphasis on the mon and the an.

:roll This is a great topic!! I wish I could sit here and read all of these unusual names!! Good for a laugh. i'm in a time crunch, though, so I'll give you the two most unusual I have ever heard.

Lution (loo-shun)-baby boy; and Comfort-girl Not meaning to offend anyone if you have these names or know somebody who does, it is just my opinion that they are different.:kiss
